boris_77 0 #1 February 11, 2008 The cheapest place to learn AFF in europe. I have £1700 to learn AFF but I would rather find the cheapest place, and have more money for a rig/jumps etc. Any help would be great.

jimmytavino 16 #5 February 11, 2008 ... well i know a FEW things,,, and when it comes to Cheap.....i start thinking.... Internet service... insurance premiums, gasoline, groceries.....maybe lawnmowers...the LAST thing i want.. CHEAP.... would be Skydiving lessons..... hahahahaever hear the term... "You get what you Pay for"???? look instead, for high quality at a reasonable and fair cost... cheap sometimes equates to cutting corners... not a good idea for AFF..... stay enthusiastic, but be practical in your search... extra money for a rig, that you are not correctly trained to use safely,,,,,could be better spent on a proper education in the sport... safety First,,, and what the Hell,,, safety second too...jmy
boris_77 0 #6 February 11, 2008 LOL, I guess your a safety conscious guy ;) I have just been looking at Sweden and they appear to do Cheap AFF courses. Does anybody know if they do courses in English. I have emailed them but im too impatient.
skymama 37 #7 February 11, 2008 1700 Euros is equal to $2467 today. I'm only mentioning this because I have known people who found it cheaper to travel to the US for their training. If you have frequent flyer miles and a friend to stay with, it might be worth your while to look into dropzones in the states too. Heck, in Florida the temperatures are warm enough that you'd be fine staying in a tent at a dropzone at this time of year. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
boris_77 0 #8 February 11, 2008 Its not euros its £ so its equivalent to $3400. I was thinking of going over to America, but flights cost about £500 so its not practical. Thanks anyway

snakeeater 0 #17 February 18, 2008 Here might be Cheap http://www.aerograd.ru/index_en.html#en1 Nowadays you'll get cheap flights there, too. Or here: www.skydivevenezuela.com I haven't been to either place yet so can't tell you how it is. The cheapest place I've seen so far were the paratroopers in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They do a public course once a year for a couple hundred dollars. Don't know about safety standards there, tho. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
