CSpenceFLY 1 #3 February 19, 2008 I have been jumping about 9 yrs and never remember hearing about any jumping down there. I thought about looking onto doing an event there once but got sidetracked
Para5-0 0 #4 February 19, 2008 They closed. I tried to organize a demo for a wedding onto the beach. Complete nightmare, more red tape than you can imagine. If you really need the name of the operation that used to exist I can get it for you.
CSpenceFLY 1 #5 February 19, 2008 One of the reasons I never looked into it was I figured it was a pain in the ass because no one else was doing it.
jacketsdb23 49 #6 February 20, 2008 Do they give observer helicopter rides down there? Losers make excuses, Winners make it happen God is Good Beer is Great Swoopers are crazy.
pirana 0 #7 February 20, 2008 There is (or at least was) a DZ in The Bahamas, but I believe it is on Grand Bahama (Freeport); and I'm pretty sure it is/was very much a tourist tandem operation. I go there at least once per year; I know there are observation ride vendors. It is a very breezy place though. I'd guess the average sport jumper would consider it unjumpable about 60 to 70% of the time. You're better off spending your money on scuba down there." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley
