Unstable 9 #1 March 13, 2008 After the stellar success of last year and the wonderful 2 page article in the Parachutist , the Kansas State University Parachute Club will be hosting another event, this time, with 60 Loads from our one C-182 Wide Body. All are encouraged to come, it was a helluva time last year!! ALL DAY, $10 LIFT TICKETS!! No Regestration Fee!! Just $10 Jumps! Here is how it works. - We start exactly 6 minutes before sunrise. - All loads are to 3k. - Meet the Plane at the end of the runway, be ready at least 10 minutes before your load takes off. - Manifest as soon as the pin is in. - Participants will be asked to help with Pit Crew for fast fueling of the Aircraft. - Awards will be given for most jumps by category. Last year, Jimmy Coiner made some 25 jumps in one day. Are you going to let him do that again!?? - Sport Accuracy meet all during the day for those who wish to participate. - FOOD, fun, cheap and FAST jumps! Hope to see everyone there! Last year, we hit 53 loads at 2:30 in the afternoon and had to shut down because all participants were exhausted. We need more people to make it happen this year!! Edited to add: When - April 19th, rain date on April 20th Why - We are always about pushing our single Cessna operation to it's limit, and the more jumps means more fun! How - By the Sweat of your brow. =========Shaun ==========

ksjumper 0 #3 March 29, 2008 Somebody scheduled some tandems that day so to ensure everyone gets happy we have a second cessna coming to fly that day. Can you say formation loads!! Perhaps we can pace ourselves into doing some eight-ways later in the day. It would be a nice warm up for the boogie!!JM

skyh2omedic 0 #13 April 21, 2008 Hey guys, As always what a great weekend. So good to have the weather cooperate and see so many friends after such a dreary winter-really refreshing. The 60 load day was just what we needed to get the season rolling. It was really fun watching Ben chase and almost top the "Legends" record from our 50 load day last year. Congrats to all who made this a sucess. Special thanks to Andrea for exercising her culinary talents with the very Magiverish spatula. Thanks to Gary for coming out and good to see the Nebraska boys with their plane again. This was a good primer and warm up for the Kansas Boogie-first weekend in June. You guys/gals rock. See you soon"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
peek 21 #14 April 21, 2008 Quote... the Kansas State University Parachute Club [/url] will be hosting ....60 Loads from our one C-182 Wide Body. I have been on the club's email list for several years and have been impressed with how well they communicate and organize things. I got the feeling that they would be a really fun group to skydive with, and I was not disappointed when I attended this event. Plus, I talked to a lot of people and learned a lot of things I didn't know about the history of skydiving in Kansas. The drop zone is a really good mix of KSU students, plus some older and more experienced jumpers that like to come there. And everyone helps out, and is friendly, and has a great attitude. Thank you everyone!

The Man himself JJ swoops on into the peas, a load of jumpers including my wife, JJ and papa gayley get ready to make another load. The milk man packs his rig for another jump, and last pic is of jason Norris holding his first place medal from the landing accuracy comp.
