freefalle 0 #1 March 22, 2008 hey guys what dz's if any are close to raleigh or winston salem or charlotte. I'll be up that way in April for a couple of days and I'd like to visit a dz and get a couple of jumps in. Thanks Chuck
lauraliscious 0 #2 March 22, 2008 Hey Chuck, If you're in Raleigh, Carolina Sky Sports (Louisburg, NC) is your best bet. If you're closer to Charlotte Skydive Carolina (Chester, SC) is better. If you have the time, check them both out, they're both great places to make a few jumps. LouDiamond 1 #4 March 22, 2008 Raeford DZ is also an option and is about the same distance from Raleigh as CSS (depending on the route you take)."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

base698 20 #7 April 10, 2008 Yeah like if you get pulled over and spend 40 minutes talking to the cop while driving to Louisburg it's the same distance :)

lauraliscious 0 #9 April 10, 2008 Not so sure about Raeford being the same distance from Raleigh as CSS but it's probably close to the same distance from Greensboro or Winston Salem. I didn't get to jump at Raeford the only time I've been there (last weekend) b/c it was cloudy but... Seems like a great DZ with good people, PLUS they have an awesome wind tunnel! That might be worth some extra driving time. Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
RkyMtnHigh 0 #10 April 10, 2008 Carolina SkySports is great! If you're not much of a swooper, the hill they have certainly makes you feel like one _________________________________________
