jdobleman 0 #1 April 19, 2008 So up until 4pm yesterday (Thursday) I thought we had the Perris Skyvan coming, then I find out that BJ Worth has all their planes for a commercial filming. So I check back-up, and more expensive due to ferry fees, Skydive Arizona van, which while available has no pilot because they are two pilots down and the Rocky Point Boogie is the same weekend. So now we're hoping for the Lodi Otter, at least for Saturday. But what will make it worth while? The Only Boogie outside of Montana that will have 11 cases of Lang Beer on the premises. So come and play. Saturday, April 26th. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone. CSpenceFLY 1 #2 April 19, 2008 Welcome to my world. When you schedule a plane get a contract. Peoples word is not worth a nickel anymore.
tkhayes 348 #3 April 19, 2008 contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on anyway. Most operators won't give you one for the simple fact they will be locked in - they would rather be able to hose you at the last minute if something comes up. CSpenceFLY 1 #4 April 20, 2008 Tell me about it. At least you told me up front that you could not supply me a plane.
Beerlight 0 #5 April 20, 2008 BJ's down in Houston @ Spaceland for the 100 way comps for the last 3 days. BTW, they built at least 1 today. Twas a real beaut....... Spaceland has 5 Twotters running, one of which is Skydive Chicago's. I'm not sure who owns the ugly Twotter that was there!
jdobleman 0 #6 April 21, 2008 And the hits just keep on coming. Bill Dause's other otter is still up in Canada and won't be available, short of a miracle. He needs his other planes for the Freefly festival this weekend. So, I'm looking for more turbine aircraft on the West Coast, if anybody knows of any. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone. siddacious 0 #7 April 21, 2008 Hey MadJohn, I know you have your hands full with the plane situation, but could I convince you to organize some wingsuit jumps that weekend?A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. jdobleman 0 #8 April 22, 2008 I really hoped to when I thought we had the skyvan. If it's just the Kingair it will be a little harder, but not impossible. I'll have my suit, and smoke bracket. madjohn Main goals in life: Be on the "Jumpers Over Eighty" (JOE) World Record and attend the Lost Prairie Boogie once after I'm gone.
