Unstable 9 #2 May 7, 2008 I've only heard really good things about jumping and the DZ's in Ukraine. I need to save some pennies and see if I can make it out there sometime - surprisingly cheap jump tickets, especially for Europe. Would a non-speaker like myself have a hard time out there?=========Shaun ==========
Hagen 0 #3 May 7, 2008 we have quite many visitors not speaking Russian, and they obviously have no problems at the dropzone - looks like skydivers everywhere speak the same languagePS. if serious, we have enough people speaking English here to help, if necessary. Unstable 9 #4 May 7, 2008 I'm very serious. My Sister Lived in Ukraine for Years (In Mariupol and Donetsk) and I've always been looking for a reason to sneak out there and meet people. She only had some good things to say about the people and culture, and that is something I would like to see. Yes, she had some close calls with thugs in Mariupol, but I would imagine that could be said anywhere in the world..=========Shaun ==========
Hagen 0 #5 May 7, 2008 Shaun, you and others are always welcome to come and check and see everything with your own eyesI believe that Ukraine is a nice place to visit, and for sure one of the best places to jump due to relatively law prices (some people come here from the west, for example, to take AFF course 'cause it's pretty much cheaper than out there) and because of lots of beautiful landscapes. and, of course, we have interesting historical heritage, so those who like sightseeing will have a lot of impressions. also foreigners usually adore Ukrainian cuisine. and I think that the most famous phenomenon of the country is... local beautiesas to the aforementioned boogie, I think that the information might be especially interesting for skydivers from nearby countries, like Poland and Hungary, who still have some time to decide coming here. I hope that everybody who arrives will like it here, and I promise that next times we'll post information like this earlier, so that those who are interested to visit an event could have more time for preparations
