Come meet skydivers from your area and help support a good cause. Who: Hungry pizza eaters of all ages!! Where: Generous George’s Positive Pizza & Pasta Place 3006 Duke St., Alexandria, VA 22314 When: Thursday, May 29th, 5 PM – 10 PM Save the Tatas! All YOU have to do is eat and drink. 20% of all sales for the evening go to Team Free the Puppies in sponsorship of the 2008 Washington, DC Breast Cancer 3-Day. All participants of the fundraising event will receive a Pink Ribbon Sticker for their contribution to the fight against cancer. Those who make additional donations of $10 or more will receive a Pink Breast Cancer Bracelet. Donation forms will be available at the event for tax purposes and cash donations are always welcome! What is the 3-Day? Participants will walk 60 miles during three days with net proceeds going to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. The majority of women with breast cancer have no known significant family history or other known risk factors. • African Americans have the highest death rate from breast cancer of any racial/ethnic group in the United States. • Without a cure, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer — a devastating disease with physical, emotional, psychological and financial pain that can last a lifetime. • Without a cure, an estimated 5 million Americans will be diagnosed with breast cancer — and more than 1 million could die — over the next 25 years.
