Greetings to All!

If the WFFC were to happen in 2009, would you attend?

This was the perhaps the greatest boogie of all time.

For whatever reasons it has taken a hiatus.

But for those of us that have made it in years past and for those that have not made it....can it be revived?

Post on and post often...apply the vibe!

It took a hiatus last year because Don had an on-going dispute with his neighbor over his property going through the courts. I hope he gets that resolved in his favor soon!

I have a group of about 20 jumpers who will attend IF we know far enough in advance that it REALLY is happening. Jet not neccesary.

I will bring at least 20 jumpers.

There's a whole generation of skydivers that has never attended this event.

there is a lot missing from this thread, like where it would be, what type of aircraft would it have, how long would it last?

I'd probably go though, and I'd make sure to drag a few others.

I took my FJC just a couple weeks after the last WFFC. I'd love to go, my lady and I would be there if there was another one.

Yep that event was before my time! I've listened to so many of RD's WFFC stories I wouldn't miss it for the world!!

Made my first jump there back in 1997 been every year since. Of course I'll be there.

registration fee, camping, organizing, etc.
Information that is needed for any boogie.

With so many boogies going on now and so many newer jumpers that haven't been to WFFC, you can't count on reputation alone. You need to sell us on WHY we should go.

I think a nice lineup of exotic aircraft would pull me. I realize turbines are a lot more common at people's home DZ's, but there's still sooooo many things that fly that I'd like to jump out of I hear the WFFC was famous for that.

I would strongly consider making the trip if it were hosted again.

If there were lots of different things to jump out of or off. With lots of people and lots of dealers so I might be able to try out some new gear. For sure I will through a bunch of people in my car for it.

If I could get away from my everyday work routine I would definately go spend my money at WFFC 2009 or 2010.

If it is the same as years gone past then I would go. I would give it at least one shot, showing up hoping it lives up to the hype.

After this layoff I think the first year performance would make or break the event. If the first time back isn't totally awesome then it probably will never come back what it used to be. So I hope if it does get planned again a lot of stuff gets put into it.
