maxmadmax 8 #1 June 23, 2008 Greetings to All! If the WFFC were to happen in 2009, would you attend? This was the perhaps the greatest boogie of all time. For whatever reasons it has taken a hiatus. But for those of us that have made it in years past and for those that have not made it....can it be revived? Post on and post often...apply the vibe! Don Kirlin...we need the WFFC 2009 to happen! Ciao, Mad Max Don't go away mad....just go away!
rwieder 0 #2 June 23, 2008 If they have the event, i will come. QuoteDon Kirlin...we need the WFFC 2009 to happen! Hell Yeah!-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
ChrisPike 0 #3 June 23, 2008 I would spend big bucks to jump a C-130 or any large tailgate aircraft!!! _____________________________________________ If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you!
BillyVance 34 #4 June 23, 2008 It took a hiatus last year because Don had an on-going dispute with his neighbor over his property going through the courts. I hope he gets that resolved in his favor soon!"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
psychoswooper 2 #5 June 23, 2008 I have a group of about 20 jumpers who will attend IF we know far enough in advance that it REALLY is happening. Jet not neccesary.

maxmadmax 8 #8 June 24, 2008 Well now is the time for everyone to contact everyone else and tell them to post here and get this thread up to three zillion hits and one cabillion replies. I will bring at least 20 jumpers. There's a whole generation of skydivers that has never attended this event. Ciao baby, Mad Max Don't go away mad....just go away! simplyputsi 0 #9 June 24, 2008 there is a lot missing from this thread, like where it would be, what type of aircraft would it have, how long would it last? I'd probably go though, and I'd make sure to drag a few others.Skymama's #2 stalker -
daremrc 0 #10 June 24, 2008 I took my FJC just a couple weeks after the last WFFC. I'd love to go, my lady and I would be there if there was another one.Good judgement comes from experience, and most of that comes from bad judgement.
ladyhawke 0 #11 June 24, 2008 Yep that event was before my time! I've listened to so many of RD's WFFC stories I wouldn't miss it for the world!! "It is our choices that show what we truly are far more than our abilities." - A. Dumbledore
cderham 0 #12 June 24, 2008 Made my first jump there back in 1997 been every year since. Of course I'll be there. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
micduran 0 #13 June 24, 2008 Quotethere is a lot missing from this thread, like where it would be, what type of aircraft would it have, how long would it last? registration fee, camping, organizing, etc. Information that is needed for any boogie. With so many boogies going on now and so many newer jumpers that haven't been to WFFC, you can't count on reputation alone. You need to sell us on WHY we should go. I went in '05. It would take a LOT for me to make that drive from Atlanta.Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
Sletzer 3 #14 June 24, 2008 I think a nice lineup of exotic aircraft would pull me. I realize turbines are a lot more common at people's home DZ's, but there's still sooooo many things that fly that I'd like to jump out of I hear the WFFC was famous for that. I would strongly consider making the trip if it were hosted again. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
Bolas 5 #15 June 26, 2008 If WFFC 2009 had specialty aircraft I would be all over it. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
popsjumper 2 #16 June 26, 2008 WTF is this thread doing in here? This is the Events and Places to jump forum. This is a non-Event. Move it to the discussion forum where it belongs. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. maxmadmax 8 #17 June 26, 2008 Now shame on you! No negative vibes allowed. Only positive vibes, please! BTW we want the non-event to become an event. What better way to do it than in here? Ciao, Mad Max Don't go away mad....just go away!
popsjumper 2 #18 June 26, 2008 Like I said the first time...in the discussion forum. When/If it becomes an event, bring it on here...4 months out.My reality and yours are quite different. lifesatrip 0 #20 June 27, 2008 If there were lots of different things to jump out of or off. With lots of people and lots of dealers so I might be able to try out some new gear. For sure I will through a bunch of people in my car for it.

pairashooter 0 #23 July 2, 2008 If I could get away from my everyday work routine I would definately go spend my money at WFFC 2009 or 2010. Chris Scaife
DougH 270 #24 July 2, 2008 If it is the same as years gone past then I would go. I would give it at least one shot, showing up hoping it lives up to the hype. After this layoff I think the first year performance would make or break the event. If the first time back isn't totally awesome then it probably will never come back what it used to be. So I hope if it does get planned again a lot of stuff gets put into it. BillyVance 34 #25 July 2, 2008 Then again, maybe Skyfest will take over as THE boogie of the year.
