PERSEUS ADVENTURES
2nd annual
Mission Challenge
2008

Well, this time it’s not rumors or hearsay, it’s a fact jack, another opportunity to test your physical endurance as well as your marksmanship and the ability to perform as a TEAM. The date has been set for the weekend of September 26th thru September 28th at Skydive Chicago. As suggested by last year’s competitors (it could be tougher), this year’s course has been designed to be a much tougher challenge. You will encounter obstacles that will require total team cooperation. Make no mistake about it, you will get dirty, wet, muddy and tired. This event is not for the weak of heart or short of breath (you will need to hold your breath), so now is a good time to put out that smoke and drop that jelly donut (salads for you). There are some rule changes for 2008, the main one being all competitors must jump and all competitors must fire a weapon (NO EXCEPTIONS). That means that if you are not a skydiver, you must make a tandem jump (cost of which is not included in the registration fee). Remember, <#!* happens so be prepared for sudden changes throughout the course. As before this is a four-member team event, so choose your teammates wisely. All team members will be issued and required to carry simulated mission weight (25 lbs). All participants will be required to provide their own equipment, weapon, ammo and (mandatory) hydration (NO EXCEPTIONS). The land navigation course will be approximately 3 to 3 ½ miles in length. Average time to complete the course is approximately 2 to 3 hours. This is a timed event and will be done in two stages.
Mission Challenge 2008 will go as follows:

Friday Sept. 26, 2008 @ 12:00pm Mission Challenge Camp.
(Highly Recommended) This is designed to show all participants the proper use of equipment that will be required to complete the course such as: entry and exit of water craft (zodiac), ropes, harnesses and carabineers. Pointers also will be given for the best possible way to complete an obstacle. This also will give you an idea of the type of obstacles you might encounter.

Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008
07:00am Mission briefing: At this time you will receive all particulars and details of the course IE-course layout, type of obstacles, accuracy scoring, etc.
(Be Prepared).

There will also be bonus sections throughout the course.
