Looking for a dropzone near Mobile, AL

SO I HAVE TO MOVE TO MOBILE ALABAMA IN A COUPLE WEEKS DUE TO WORK SO I WILL BE NEEDING ANOTHER DROPZONE TO HANG OUT AT. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A FEW DZS IN THAT AREA THAY I COULD GO TO ID APPRECIATE IT.

Well, there are a couple. Emerald Coast Skydiving Center in Elberta AL is great, although I'm not entirely sure that they're running anything more than a C-182 at the moment. But it's a great DZ, with great people and awesome views.

And there's Gold Coast, which I believe is now located in Lumberton, MS. I've never been there, but I hear good things and I believe they fly an Otter....

Also, typing in ALL CAPS in an internet forum is considered shouting. You may want to turn off the old caps lock key.

I've only been there for an afternoon, but I've got to say that Gold Coast is one of THE most friendly DZs I've EVER had the pleasure of visiting.

I live in Mobile also. Feel free to contact me if you want.

Emerald Coast is closer (a little less than an hour away), but they primarily fly a C-182 now. Still, they have good people there, and lately they've been bringing in Gold Coast's Otter every second or third Friday.

My home dropzone is Gold Coast in Lumberton, MS. They are about two hours away, just south of Hattiesburg. Gold Coast is a nice, friendly dropzone with an Otter.

You'll probably want to sign up for the rworg emailing list. This list is for notifying interested parties of skydiving events along the LA, MS, AL, and FL panhandle gulf coast. You can get info on the list here:

gold coast is awesome. It would be hard not to like it there.

Dont worry about the all caps. the mere concept that one could be "shouting" on the internet and the fact that some people felt it neccessary to comment on it, is simpy the most retarded thing I've seen in quite a while. If you were shouting it out loud at home as you typed it, then that is fine with me. It was no more audible when i read it in caps then it woud have been if I had read it in lower case.
