skyh2omedic 0 #30 September 10, 2008 Shaun, What's the latest? Here is what i found out and heard today. Residents of Cramer Hall from the University of Missouri and some students from the University of Central Missouri will be invading. Some girls of Delta Gamma from MU as well. Is this a Missouri invasion? That's what some are calling it. I see state flags going up. The hog has been ordered. What is the party theme for Saturday night and who is providing entertainment?"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
ksjumper 0 #31 September 10, 2008 No entertainment plans. Just don't do anything that will get us kicked off the airport!! Captain did fixed the kegerator. JM
skyh2omedic 0 #32 September 10, 2008 There needs to be some theme-have we been on thin ice? I say a late year luau or another ABC party with the Strutt Brothers providing sounds, throw in a bon fire and make use of the captain's handyman skills-fill the fridge and chill the keg. Will there be night jumps?"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
coreyangel 0 #33 September 10, 2008 For what it's worth... A bon fire lighting the DZ for night jumpers sounds pretty cool. Those not jumping can hang out, drink and roast marshmellows Learn from others' mistakes, you will never live long enough to make them all yourself. Bolas 5 #34 September 10, 2008 The DZ is on thin ice? There's your theme: Ice capades. Guys can wear hockey Jerseys and the women can wear those figure skating outfits. And of course you have to have a booze luge. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
skyh2omedic 0 #35 September 10, 2008 Skimpy outfits for girls-yes anything that furthers that is good for a theme. Who knows it's kansas so ice in September is not unheard of and could continue our weather theme-we had tornados last time and for the alumni boogie last year we had 30-40mph winds steady so ice is a possibility."You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
ksudiver87 0 #36 September 11, 2008 You make the weather sound like a bad thing! Tornadoes- just a strong thermal..Wind- Can you say 'Cross Country!!"..Ice- That would be fun to swoop! I have my skimpy outfit and my beer mug..counting down the days! ~Always do stupid things safely~
skyh2omedic 0 #37 September 11, 2008 In the midwest one learns to make the weather their friend-ie ripstick races on the runway. Ice you can have-but the skimpy outfit sounds good. Beer always is good. I'm counting the days too. The kids from Cramer hall are stoked too. I'm thinking we might actually have more folks this time than in June. Sounds like both planes will be cranking. Hoping we can talk Jesse into night jumps-not much of a moon-ought to make the stars look good. Lang Creek Brewery sent some "Skydiver Blonde" posters-they are cool. Have you heard of any other sponsors. Still looking for bandana verbage. They go to the printer next week."You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
ksjumper 0 #38 September 19, 2008 8 days away. The POPS record will fall!!!!!!!! JM
coreyangel 0 #39 September 19, 2008 How about setting a POPS altitude record? Would it be possible for us to set one?Learn from others' mistakes, you will never live long enough to make them all yourself. POPS 10672
ksjumper 0 #40 September 24, 2008 Ok Peeps. Ya'll should plan on coming out FRIDAY evening if you want to sneak a jump in. The Caravan should be on the field in time for a few loads before sunset, perhaps earlier, you never know. We'll be there setting up mid afternoon and will be registering folks as they arrive. We've got beer in the kegerator and I've got a room at the Simmer Motel for your sat and sun shower. Try to park as tight as you can, I'm thinkin' the place is going to rock! Please ask a staffer where parking is off limits. We've recently acquired a pilot McNasty. Manifest opens at 7:30am Saturday. First load goes up at 8am. Remember, If you made it to the Peggs Boogie in June there's no registration fee. Only $10 if you didn't. Remember- NO TORNADOES!!!!!!!! Jesse
skyh2omedic 0 #41 September 24, 2008 We'll just have to love Pilot MCnasty into our community. Heart and minds-we will just win him over SF style. The weather is looking great-clear and low wind. Those camping will enjoy a star filled Kansas sky with little moon. When are the POPS and girls records gonna fall? The hog is being butchered and the bandanas printed as i type this-literally. Our Missouri group is talking staging areas for car pooling. Our college kids are begging instructors for an early release on Friday. The wagons will be heading west on Friday. Gonna be a great weekend. We are stoked on the East side."You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
divingos 0 #42 September 24, 2008 When does the place leave for the demo?
ksjumper 0 #43 September 26, 2008 I've just learned there will be no break in the action either day. Come out for non-stop jumping. Jesse

ksjumper 0 #45 September 26, 2008 And the caravan will arrive earlier than expected on Friday. TIme to take the afternoon off if you live within 2 1/2 hours of here. Jesse

ksjumper 0 #47 September 29, 2008 Thanks to everyone for coming, Start Skydiving for the plane, Bruce and Gary for flying their asses off, and God for the great weather! We ended up flying 47 caravan loads with over 100 registered jumpers and about 30 C-182 hop&pop loads for those on a budget. If I would have known you all were coming I would have ordered more shitters!! Anyway, Thanks everyone. See you in Wichita at the All Kansas Cessna Boogie in October. Blue Skies, Jesse M. skyh2omedic 0 #48 September 29, 2008 Shaun, Jesse, Justin, Ben, Captain, Paul, Art, Bart, Hondo, Doug, Stump and too many others to list. Thanks for a great weekend. So nice to have weather on our side. The TMC-CNO was so impressed that i may have a ferry fee answer for you to bring Fastrax back in the spring. Kohl the stars were great. Shaun, i'll holler at you tonight and let you know how Teresa will tap into the purse strings for the ferry fee. Thanks to all-the MU folks are back bragging about their great time at KSUPC and our girls really enjoyed themselves. The vibe you all have continues to impress me-never lose that little jewel."You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
