SimonBones 1 #29 May 6, 2009 Talk about long drive, last year I was living in Suffolk VA and made the 6 hour drive for this fabulous event. It was about 102 degrees out. I couldn't figure out why it was still so hot even with the AC on. 4 hours into the drive I realized that my seat heaters were on! Boy did I feel dumb! Even still, as long and hot as it was, it was totally worth it. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
jimmytavino 16 #30 May 12, 2009 roger that S Bones... went 14 hours each way... NO AC... but we DID stop in a small town in Pa. for some Dairy Queen!!! Yummy..... i hope the W. O.... Sletzer 3 #31 May 12, 2009 Oh my dear Lord it was sooo hot last year! I remember getting in the CASA right after the FAA inspected it on the ground for two hours. That thing was like a fuckin oven!!! Honest to God it must've been 120 degrees in there. Here's hopin you kids get some cooler weather I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
micduran 0 #32 May 12, 2009 I had a LOT of frozen grapes and Popsicles to share. That was the best way to survive that heat.Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
jimmytavino 16 #33 May 12, 2009 i walked through a CASA exhaust plume, on that well heated tarmac, that was Really HOT......like standing right AT the bonfire when it gets fuel thrown on it.....That would have melted almost ANYthing.. well.. all except for mcdurans' popsicles...now, the frozen grapes idea..... i like the sound of that. keep a bagful (or 2 ) in the cooler, so they keep the beers cold,,, grab a few, as needed...remember the red bull staff?? they had free cold ones, for everyone. every little bit helps. chrismgtis 0 #34 May 16, 2009 Quote That chicken was pretty darn good too. I want some more. Oh and the mexican food Dale cooked. Freakin' yum. It was like what 150 degrees in 2008? I thought I was going to start cooking while under shade. I'm the biggest wuss when it comes to humidity. I hate sweating and feeling like I just got dipped in a vat of hot oil. FYI here are some more pics of the 2007 boogie. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrismgtis/sets/72157600340591117/Rodriguez Brother #1614, Muff Brother #4033 Jumped: Twin Otter, Cessna 182, CASA, Helicopter, Caravan
SimonBones 1 #35 May 18, 2009 It certainly felt like 150F! I'm sure though that this year will be a bit cooler. Especially with Mr Bones in the house Or would that make it hotter? Wait... Am I hot or cool? Both? Neither? I... Um... Now I'm confused I make my head hurt. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

Kwoo 0 #39 May 21, 2009 Less than 2 weeks to “Chesterfest”. I can’t wait. I’ve been attending the Skydive Carolina June boogie (whatever it’s been called) for years and it’s always a good time. There are always great organizers, vendors and special events. Free skydives, specialty jumps, lift capacity, evening entertainment, sit-fly-chickens and The Rodriguez Brothers. Who are the Rodriguez Brothers? …. This is also a great time to bring friends and family in for a tandem. A boogie is a great opportunity to show the people who don’t understand, the reason you skydive. If they mention Jump for the Cause when they book their tandem, Skydive Carolina will donate $20 to The City of Hope and Jump for the Cause. They are also, donating 50 cents of every fun jump to the same cause. In this day of shrinking profit margins this is a fantastic gift to a worthy charity. I’ll also have JFTC Boobie Koozies. The folks at Skydive Carolina are working very hard to make this a great event. See you there. karen

I would help Dale make chicken, I would help James manifest. I would help Delfina glow!
