lauracaroline 0 #1 May 3, 2009 Hey y'all! I just wanted to make everyone aware of a fundraiser coming up next fall at Skydive Carolina called Jump for Darfur! I'm sure you have heard of the genocide in Darfur which has claimed the lives of over 400,000 Darfuris and displaced over 2.7 million people since 2003. I started a non-profit in Sudan which benefits rape victims in Darfur by providing the women a safe place for rehabilitation. Currently we are trying to raise funds to start building the women's shelter in Sudan. In order to raise funds we are asking that jumpers obtain sponsors for their jumps. From the funds raised Reaching Out in Sudan, Africa (the non-profit) will purchase your jump ticket and the extra money raised will go to benefit victims in Darfur.
