rickt86 0 #1 March 6, 2010 I will be in FL around Orlando next week, I see Deland is having the EXPOS later that week, but Sebastian is a hair closer to where im going, I will have a car, should I goto Deland or Sebastian, will most likely jump tue or wed, have about 60 jumps, which is more novice friendly? Have jumped at Sussex/Skydive Sac/Skydance so far.

skymama 37 #3 March 6, 2010 It's usually a given that Deland will be putting loads up during the week for teams and test jumping at least. I'm not sure about Sebastian, you might want to give them a call. Deland has a separate landing area for newbies but Sebastian has the prettiest scenery for you to enjoy. Tough call! Maybe you should just see which place is having better weather when you get here. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
3331 137 #4 March 6, 2010 Don't miss the EXPO in Deland. March 11-14 http://skydivedeland.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=54&Itemid=123 this is a special event. Lots of toys for Skydivers. I Jumped with the guys who invented Skydiving.
Skydivesg 7 #5 March 6, 2010 If you are going to be around starting Thursday then I would definitely go to the Expo. It's geared for younger jumpers and anyone who want's to learn. Too much to explain here, so go to the web site and check it out before making your decision. www.skydiveexpo.com Especially check out the list of vendors who will have demo equipment available and check out all the seminars. Look under the "For Skydivers" tab.Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be.
rickt86 0 #6 March 7, 2010 As of now I will be there Mon-Wed, my ride to Orlando is Wed morning, I could head up that way early WED or late Tue night, but is anyone driving back like fri/sat to orlando airport so I can get a ride to the airport (have employee benefits on united) so I just need a flight with a seat! Skydivesg 7 #7 March 7, 2010 There use to be jumpers that would give people to and from rides to the airport in Olando for a fee. It was pretty reasonable at the time. You could call the DZ and see if anyone still does that.Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be.
