Skydive East Tennessee 4th of July boogie!

Skydive East Tennessee has officially been open for one year! We're celebrating our anniversary by having a boogie over the 4th of July weekend. There will be a Porter for the event, plus our trusty C-206 and C-182.

Registration is $25 (or bring a tandem, schedule them with the DZ in advance) and that includes a stellar fireworks show on Saturday night. Camping is allowed on the DZ, and it is a great location.

SET is located just East of Knoxville directly off of I-40, between exits 407 and 412. If you've ever wanted to come check it out but haven't yet gotten around to it, this would be a perfect opportunity!

I will definitely be there all weekend with the rv.

There are also two air conditioned packing areas, a large covered outdoor packing area, and a swoop pond. All having the potential to keep you cool in the July heat!

I am thinking about heading down to check this out. I wanted to jump there on my way home from from Carolina fest but it was closed due to high winds.

I may be solo and was wondering if it would be easy to get in on some RW jumps and does anyone have any hotel recommendations near the DZ ?

There shouldn't be any problem getting in on some RW jumps, just ask around when you get here. Hopefully we can launch some multiplane formations too.

You'll have no trouble getting on RW jumps, just ask for me when you get there. I
As for hotels, there are a ton of options on exit 407 off of I-40. 5-10 minutes from the DZ.

We'll be there all weekend too with our brand new camper!!! We're picking it up this weekend.
