Skydive in Santa Barbara area?/Skydivers at UCSB?

Hi! I just moved to California from Norway to study at UCSB, and I'm wondering which DZ near by to go skydive and how to get there!?

I'm also in search for a UCSB student currently in the sport to show me the ropes and maybe carpool to the nearest DZ.

Skydive Santa Barbara is about 45 mins N of UCSB area, in city of Lompoc. We get quite a few UCSB students who come here for tandem dives. We fly a PAC 750 right now, sometimes a Cessna 206... mainly depends on how many people are jumping.

I guess I'm in need of my own car.. Everything here is so easy to access, if you have a car! Or would it be possible to take a bus or something?

Still in search for some experienced jumpers from UCSB(not just tandem), any of those around??

There is a solid group of jumpers that live in SB... at least 1 or 2 are UCSB students...

I'll let them know you are posting next time they come up to jump.
