Recommended Posts

The following information is from the press release for this Event. It takes place during the Skydive Expo. I know there is another thread for that, but Ted was such a remarkable man in our sport, he deserves his own thread. :)

When: April 3, 2012 10:00am-12:00 noon
Where: Skydive Deland
1600 Flight Line Boulevard
DeLand, FL 32724-2159

This celebration is planned to honor Ted Strong, who passed away on October 14th
2011. It can never be said that Ted lived a boring life. He was always looking for the
next adventure and he will be sorely missed.

This celebration has been planned to
coincide with the start of the “Skydive Expo” which he was
fundamental in organizing. April is a special time for Ted as
the 5th is the anniversary of his first jump in 1958, and the
7th is his birthday. There will be a special booth set up at the
Expo showcasing some of his passions. Make sure to stop
by the booth on the 7th to share some cake and celebrate his
birthday.

We will be closing the shop on the 3rd of April to allow all of
the Strong Enterprises family to attend the service. We are
sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but know that you
understand.

We hope that you will be able to join us and look forward to spending this time
celebrating the life of our beloved founder and a
GIANT in the industry. If you are unable to attend
please take a moment at 10am EST on the 3rd to
send your thoughts and prayers our way.

She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man,
because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
