kentAllan 0 #1 June 6, 2012 Hi guys! I live in Norway and i'm thinking about taking a trip over the atlantic to jump for 2-3 weeks. Where should I go? I spent 3 weeks in z-hills during march. I loved the DZ but i've been told it's very hot in florida during this time of year? What would you Suggest?
NWFlyer 2 #2 June 6, 2012 Florida & Arizona will be on the scorching side that time of year. Northern and Southern California won't be too bad (though SoCal can get pretty hot, too). It'd be a fantastic time of year to go to Skydive Chicago - it's a great setup to park yourself there for a few weeks and live very comfortably on the DZ. You could even aim to be there during the Summerfest boogie."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
skymama 37 #3 June 6, 2012 Absolutely the worst months to be in FL!She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

DiverMike 5 #5 June 6, 2012 Find the biggest boogie that meets yours schedule. Skydive Chicago is end of July. Lost Prarie is Aug 4-12, Work Stinks is end of August. I am sure there are others. You will be travelling during the height of boogie season in the American Midwest. Take advantage of it For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. tbrown 26 #8 June 21, 2012 From July thru September you'll find the southern states can be unbearably hot, especially if you're from Norway. But there are many beautiful dropzones in the northern states, places that are usually closed during winter, but have very active jumping scenes during the summer months. Check out Skydive Chicago, The Ranch in Gardner, NY, Jumptown in Orange, MA and Skydive New England up in Lebanon, Maine. In the Northwest you might try Skydive Kapowsin, in Shelton, WA, or Skydive Oregon in Mollala (did I spell that right ?). All of these places will be making the most of the good weather while they've got it and all of them have turbos to get you up to altitude as often as you want. Hope you have a great visit this summer ! Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
