rav101 0 #1 August 23, 2012 Hi Guys, I am returning for a second crack at getting my skydiving licence after originally trying through the raps course about 7 years ago. I am thinking of taking a week of holiday before Christmas to do an AFF course and was wondering where would be good to do it. I am based in England so naturally concerned about the weather being an issue so was wondering if people could recommend drop zones that usually enjoy good weather at that time of year in other countries. Regards, Ravi
iluvtofly 0 #2 August 23, 2012 Florida is a pretty safe bet during December.
missbrz 0 #3 August 23, 2012 there's a couple other threads debating the pros and cons of all the different major winter dropzones. but anywhere south is a safe bet: Florida, Texas, Arizona, Southern California. Personally I'm partial to Zhills

rav101 0 #5 August 23, 2012 Hey all, Thanks for the feedback. I had been looking at Southern California if I was to make the trip over the pond. Places like Elsinore and Perris as I have family in LA and in Sacramento. Also started looking at Skydive Spain & Empuriabrava in Spain as well. Trying to weigh up all the different factors from weather at that time of year to cost of travel, courses and accommodation.
