fred 0 #26 August 2, 2002 QuoteGood point. But that's more likely to happen on a Level II jump and subsequent jump as there's a full day of ground school to get through on the first day before the Level I jump occurs. Days are long. You can make your level 2 that same day if you want. I've even heard of people doing 4 jumps on their first day of static line progression.
petur 0 #27 August 2, 2002 My advice is... RELAX! In my opinion it's definately the most important thing of all, since everything else becomes a lot easier if you do...--- P. Sebazz1 2 #28 August 2, 2002 Ah I wish I chimed in earlier. Everyone has said the right things so far. If I where to add one more thing it would be this. Don't be a deer in the headlights. As you go throught the first jump course and they have you doing practice emergency cutaways and mock climbout after climbout. Be assertive. Yell out what you're doing........ It may seem corny at the time but it will help. Examples: "CHECK LEFT.....CHECK RIGHT.....PROP....OUT......IN......ARCH!!!" Yell out what you are doing. Don't just go through the motions. And absolutely know the dive flow inside and out. You can train all you want but you only get 60 seconds of actual learning time. Don't waste it. Plan the dive and dive the plan...... And relax relax relax relax relax relax !! Good luck! Have fun!
