strife 0 #2 December 9, 2012 I thought you couldn't normally skydive in Singapore and had to go to Thailand to do the activity. I guess if its a one off event to jump in your own country I can see the attraction.
mchamp 1 #3 December 9, 2012 Yes, that is correct. Usually everyone has to come to Thailand to jump or the next closest DZ in Australia. Apparently there is a lot of response and feedback so they have opened another option for tandems which is $999 SGD or $820 USD to do a tandem and one flight in the tunnel. Also new news is that D licensed skydives may also jump during these 2 days and land on the beach in singapore, but costs $2,400SGD for the helicopter load to 10k for 3 people. For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
hillson 0 #4 December 9, 2012 These prices are absurd.
Squeak 17 #5 December 10, 2012 QuoteThese prices are absurd. Then dont buy a tandem. The singapore market will accomadate it readily, they have had a lot of interest and will do well out of it. Hopefully it will shine a bright light on skydiving, and may aid in any future endevours to get skydiving happening in Singapore more often. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! mchamp 1 #6 December 10, 2012 Prices are not so absurd for them. Slightly over 17% of Singaporean's are millionaires or 1 in 6 are millionaires. http://blogs.wsj.com/searealtime/2012/06/01/singapore-no-1-for-millionaires-again/ http://www.bethetop5percent.com/2012/1105/singapore-is-1-for-millionaires-again/For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
tan 0 #7 December 20, 2012 Well, I'm pretty sure that jumping at 650USD a pop is one way to ensure that you remain in the 5 out of 6 that aren't millionaires...
