She has been skydiving and BASE jumping for eleven years during which she has spent time dedicating herself to wingsuiting, freeflying, and canopy piloting as well as BASE jumping. Katie is a world record holder in freeflying, and a pioneer in a new discipline called XRW. XRW requires a combination of the highest caliber canopy pilot and the highest caliber wingsuit pilot. The wingsuit pilot flys a large, high performance wingsuit in formation and actually takes docks (touches) the canopy pilot while he is flying a very small and very fast parachute. Katie is among a small group of people developing this discipline, and the only female who can fly both the wingsuit or the parachute. Katie has traveled the world to explore, compete, and teach skydiving and BASE jumping.
