Advice for New Jumper in Clovis, NM

Recommended Posts

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has been a long time since I have been an active member of the community. Wow, almost ten years since my last jump. Anyway, despite my lack of active jumping I have been actively promoting the sport to anyone with the slightest interest.

While deployed to Afghanistan I came across a young Airmen that expressed an interest in the sport. I gave him a quick run down of what my experience was and he is hooked on the idea of getting his first tandem shortly after he returns stateside. The problem I have is I am not familiar with any of the DZs out west. He lives in Clovis, NM. I did a quick Google search and found Skydive Lubbock at an hour and a half drive away. Is that a good DZ for him to go to for his first Tandem or is there a better place to point him to in the local area? Anyone in the local area with experience at those DZs I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!
