Where to Jump in October?

Recommended Posts

Just a quick post to get some views on where to jump in the US at the end of october for around 10days (We'll be flying over from the UK). We're looking for somewhere where the weather will be most likely jumpable (obviously! ;)) and preferably fairly warm. We're not looking to go crazy with the jumping, but if it's possible to do maybe 6-8 jumps per day that's be cool.

I would probably prefer somewhere we haven't been yet, although I've nothing against the US drop zones we've been to so far, which are:

Eloy
Perris
Elsinore
Deland

Perhaps one of the above would be best in October, but anyone out there wanting to big up their local/favourite DZ?!!

Thanks,

Marcus

Most consistent jumping in Oct.. Eloy

Best chance of bad weather in Oct.. Deland.. hurricane season.. never know what you will get.

So Cal.. is So Cal and Snore is always fun.

Most interesting scenery would be New England in Oct when all the trees are turning colors.. so any of the Big DZ's there would be mighty purty;)

If your goal is to put in a decent amount of jumps, you'll probably want to re-visit the Western dz's you've been at. The NE might have some gorgeous colors with the trees turning, BUT, weather will be VERY variable.

You might want to check into Texas DZ's if you want a place you've never been to, like Spaceland.

If you can delay your trip for a week to November 1st, it might make for an exciting trip to head to Zhills and check out the World Canopy Piloting Championships at the same time that you're there to jump. I've seen the US Comp there before, and it was a lot of fun to watch!
