riggerrob 643 #2 May 14, 2016 With a field elevation of 6,609 feet above sea level ... we wonder what size main canopies they are using????? How close do they land to the rim of the canyon? Can you imagine the ground rush falling into the canyon? How deep is the canyon near that DZ?
Moosie 0 #3 May 14, 2016 They're based in Tusayan, AZ, which is the town just outside of the national park. I imagine you get views of the canyon while flying to altitude and jumping, but i doubt the gov't would ever allow them to jump into the canyon. There's already a huge industry for helicopter rides over the canyon, based out of the same airport. No idea on camopy sizes, though.
