wegates 0 #1 April 2, 2003 I got forwarded this news item by a friend. Apparently some guy from Wales made the worlds largest rubber band ball (listed in guniess!). He then took it to Arizona and dropped it out of a plane. The article says it was followed down by a freefall photographer, but does not give name or dropzone. Anyone have any idea who filmed this? or more importantly anyone know if the video is posted online? http://iol.co.za/index.php?click_id=29&art_id=qw104876334028B221&set_id=1"You can blow your nose, and you can blow your friends, but if your wife buys too many pairs of shoes, your head could explode." PhreeZone 20 #2 April 2, 2003 Joe Jennings and the crew from Eloy did the stunt out of the Skyvan. Brent Findley posted a nice write up of it somewhere in the fourms. CornishChris 5 #3 April 3, 2003 They did it for Ripley's believe it or not I think. I have seen a video of it and it is quite a lot of fun. I also read a good write up on it but not sure where. SkySlut 0 #4 April 3, 2003 I ended up taping that episode...it had the 300 way on there too...pretty entertaining.
JayhawkJumper 0 #5 April 29, 2003 For those that saw the episode, didn't it seem weird that they just kinda mentioned that there was this world record 300 way thing in Arizona, but the show was centered around the "historic event" of a big ball being shoved out the back of a plane and hitting the ground. Casch 0 #6 April 29, 2003 Yeah it would have been nice if they would have centered the show around the 300 way, and covered the practices, the piloting. I would have liked to see a documentary on it. Anyone know of one? hehe
Unstable 9 #7 April 29, 2003 It doesn't seem weird at all to me, half the non-jumpers out there don't know the meaning of a 300 way of why it is significant, but WOW, A RUBBERBAND BALL OUT OF AN AIRPLANE, THATS CRAZY!! - sds Manhattan KS " WOW, A RUBBERBAND BALL OUT OF AN AIRPLANE, THATS CRAAAAZY" <- funny=========Shaun ==========

DBCOOPER 5 #10 September 27, 2011 Thats a shame...Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea.
