jfields 0 #1 May 20, 2002 How do recurrency dives work? What type of training is involved and is there a specified sequence to the dive? I haven't jumped since Feb. 9, and am planning to start back up again the first week in June. I didn't jump during my wife's last few months of pregnancy and my daughter's first month. Now it is time to get back up into the air. Justin
SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 May 20, 2002 Recurrency dives are planned according to the license you hold and the time since your last jump. All of this is covered in detail in the SIM, so just go to the USPA site and check it out.ChuckMy webpage HERE
jfields 0 #3 May 20, 2002 Yeah, Chuck, I suppose I should get off my lazy butt and go look there. Thanks.Justin
Donna 0 #4 May 21, 2002 Just in case you didn't look yet to give you an idea of what _might_ be involved. Last year for recurrency I did some harness time and then did a level IV type AFF jump with an instructor. I had learned by AFF and it had been 8 months since I had jumped. Good luck, Justin. How's your sweet daughter doing??Blue Skies,D
jfields 0 #5 May 21, 2002 Donna,Mine will probably be a little different, because I already have an A license. I was planning to do some harness time regardless of what the "requirements" are, because I want the refresher for myself.Lucy is fine. She pretty much only cries when she has a reason to do so. She regularly sleeps 5-6 hours through the night. From what I've heard, that is stupendous for a 1-month old. Four new pictures.Justin
Donna 0 #6 May 24, 2002 I had my A license back then, too. Lucy sure is one adorable baby!! Great news on the sleeping!Blue Skies,D
KATO33 0 #7 May 24, 2002 Hey Justin I was just surfing through your Website to find out you've jumped at my home DZ Millennium in Kankakee. We just missed each other I was there the 24th and 26th of august (doing AFF-3 and 4) and you were there the 25th. I know and jumped with everyone you mentioned they are always willing to jump with low timers. They snatched me up as soon as I got my A. been doing 2,3,4,5,6, ways since only about 5 solos. My biggest attempt to date 13-way And I only have 74 jumps total. Hope you can make it back one dayJust ask for Chris.PeaceBlue Skies Black Death
