got a question?

I dunno. Do you want to be decapitated when you cuttaway your main? Think it's possible for your headphone wire to snag on a riser? Wanna bet that the wire will break before your neck does?
I think the humorous part is the idea of being able to hear the tunes in freefall. You KNOW how loud a 120 mph wind is?

When you think a pro-track set at 115db is barely audible in freefall, you think you could hear a Md player? Under canopy yes - but then you need your ears in case someone is shouting for you to get out of the way or something like that.

>Hi pps , i was wondering how safe and wise is to jump with headfones . . .
Safe and wise - probably not. The main problem is right before exit and right after opening. Not being able to hear "Hold! Traffic!" or "Look out!" under canopy could be fatal. A headset that can overcome the noise of freefall (like a David Clark) will filter too much outside noise to let you hear; any other kind of headset (like a walkman headset) will require either too much power or will be too loud once you open.

Umm, what they said, I've used a walkman before on very high hop n pops, and it was kinda cool.
But in another thread you implied that you were less than current, and even quite scared of jumping again, having witnessed a static liner go in. Under these circumstances, I would prefer to see you focussed on regaining your skills and confidence, and landing safely without distractions..
