Usetawuz 1 #1 November 9, 2005 Wondering if long-time SF type, one-time CSM XVIII Abn Corp, early-times hard corp jumper Dave Clark is still among us. I think, at one time or another, he was a key member of every SPC on Ft. Bragg. One hellava man. Does anybody know if he's stll around? _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!

Usetawuz 1 #3 November 10, 2005 That's great news. I assume that's in NC. Dave and I go back a long way (for a couple of young dudes). If you see him - please tell him I was asking about him. Thanks John _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!

One of those names from the past that you hold in awe.I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg! Not only does he still sport jump, he is also still on orders to do military freefall jumps, which he does on at least a quarterly basis. He is also still an active member of the Green Beret Parachute Team. He is a GS-13 (I believe) and works as the special advisor to the commander (a two star general) of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School on Fort Bragg. Dave Clark will never retire. When we worked in the same office in 2001, Dave would do PT every single morning. He ruck marched twice a week with COL Edwin "Andy" Anderson and could get down and knock out 100 pushups faster than I could. I would, even with him at his age, hate to ever get into a fist fight with Dave Clark. I am pretty sure he would kick my ass all over a parking lot. Dave's hair is always "perfect." He is very involved with his church. He is still married to his long-time wife. I am pretty sure Dave Clark taught me to piss off the back porch of my house when I was a kid. He and my dad have been very, very good friends for over 40 years. Chuck

Usetawuz 1 #7 November 24, 2005 Thanks for the update. I guess we all looked (still look) up to Dave. I can only describe him as 'a soldier's soldier; a skydiver's skydiver; and a man's man" _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
