I remind you, the Duane case is Jo's case, not Duane's. Duane never claimed he was Cooper and several people who have made sworn affidavits say what Duane did say to them was totally different than any claim that he was Cooper. Jo has no one who will swear Duane told them he was DB Cooper,
and that is a primary truth.

Excuse me - these people were interviewed 2 1/2 yrs after Duane Weber died. None of them were in the room when he said "I'm Dan Cooooper". I have NEVER maintained anyone was present.
One woman was there the next day when the drugs had set in and he was rambling about putting 173 or 178 K in a bucket and he couldn't find the bucket.
AGAIN Georger go back and READ the FACTS. They did not start the drugs until he got mad because I didn't understand who "'Dan Cooper" was.

Excuse me, again - you only try to jumble up things up and it is becoming rather evident to those who only read and do not post. The photo of the man in the fatigues is only part of a larger photo taken from that strange (collectible as you tried to claim) 1994 Soldier of Fortune Magazine left in a safety deposit box only a 3 months before Duane Weber died. ODD indeed.Even more ODD is the fact that you would even dispute this.

I addressed the post to you since you were the one who professed to be so knowledgable regarding the found money of 1980. I therefore was offering up to you the complete picture so you could figure out what was written on the picture - what you see is not all of the writing nor all of the photo. I thought you might recognize yourself as the authority you have put yourself out to the forum as being. Mr. Professor... you analyzed the money and the Book with the picture of the Little Girl.

You are beinging to sound like what I call "detergent "- something used to WHITE WASH the truth.

I would like to see Jo Weber stand up before several
rooms full of people who have worked on the Cooper

Most of their story is plagurized right out of this thread - right down to BuDop - exactly where I took the story in this thread several months ago with Duane and the magazine.

Snowmman you are the Abdominal Snowmman - it still has 15 minutes - and I don't know if I should be mad or glad. Outside of this forum - No one even thought of BuDop. They are also claiming a suspect by the name of Sawyer was Cooper, but if my memory serves me right a suspect who came up missing was named a very similar name...just know it had straw in it. Oh! Rackstaw.

Henry Winkler is the retired FBI.

If someone is trying to make fun of me this is an unusual way to do it. To throw BuDop right out there means someone is at least listening to me. I will take that as a positive and I believe everyone else will also.

377,

Be careful with what you disclose about the Rat Pack.

Ask anyone to name the members of the Rat Pack and they ALWAYS forget Joey Bishop (Attach 1).

Sure he is listed as a comedian but have you ever seen him perform? Name one Joey Bishop joke. That's right you can't, because there is no such thing.

Gee, I wonder why Mr. Unknown Comedian was allowed entrance into the vaunted 'Rat Pack.' Why don't you compare (Attach 2) to Bishop's alleged picture and decide for yourself.

Ranger in the Night, indeed

Bishop, youngest of five children, was born as Joseph Abraham Gottlieb in the Bronx, New York, the son of Anna (née Siegel) and Jacob Gottlieb, Jewish Central European immigrants.[1][2][3] His father was a bicycle repairman.[4] Bishop was raised in South Philadelphia.[4] In 1941, Bishop married Sylvia Ruzga, who died in 1999 from lung cancer. They had one son, Larry Bishop, a film director and actor.

[edit] Career
Bishop began his career as part of a standup comedy act with his elder brother, Maury. He guest-hosted on television's The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson more times than anyone else, having also frequently appeared on Steve Allen's and Jack Paar's previous versions of the show.

He hosted his own television show, The Joey Bishop Show (1967-1969), a 90-minute late-night talk show five nights a week on ABC that was launched as competition to Carson's popular nightly program. His sidekick for this show was then-newcomer Regis Philbin.

A situation comedy, also titled The Joey Bishop Show, premiered on 20 September 1961 and ran for four seasons, first on NBC and later CBS. Bishop played a talk show host named Joey Barnes. His wife was portrayed by Abby Dalton, who joined the cast in 1962.

Bishop was among the stars of the original Ocean's Eleven film about military veterans who reunite in a plot to rob five Las Vegas casinos on New Year's Eve. He co-starred with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford of the so-called Rat Pack, although the five of them did not publicly acknowledge that name.

During filming, the five entertainers performed together on stage in Vegas at the Sands Hotel. Bishop did only a little singing and dancing, but did tell jokes and write some of the act's material.

He later appeared with Sinatra, Martin and Davis in the military adventure Sergeants 3, a loose remake of Gunga Din, and with Martin in the western comedy Texas Across the River, in which he portrayed an Indian.

Bishop was the only member of the Rat Pack to work with members of a younger group of actors dubbed The Brat Pack, appearing (as a ghost) in the film Betsy's Wedding with Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.

His final appearance in a film was a non-speaking role in Mad Dog Time, written and directed by Larry, his son. His character was named Gottlieb, which was Joey Bishop's real last name.

Perpetually glum Bronx-born standup comedian Joey Bishop was born Joseph Abraham Gottlieb on February 3, 1918, the youngest of five children of Eastern European émigrés. He was raised, however, in Philadelphia and learned while growing up how to tap dance, do imitations and play the mandolin and banjo. Dropping out of high school at 18, he started out in the humor business in vaudeville as part of a comedy act with his brother. Billed as "Joey Gottlieb" at the time, he later joined a comedy group that called themselves "The Bishop Trio" and kept the last name for himself after the team broke up. His nascent career was interrupted while serving in the Army during WWII, but quickly resumed things after his discharge in 1945. He appeared on television as early as 1948, but it took a while before he caught on. A master ad-libber, he became a nitery specialist at such establishments as the Latin Quarter, and served as an opening act for a number of stars, including Frank Sinatra, in the mid-50s. As his reputation increased, he became a steadfast cog on the talk show, sitcom and game show circuits. A frequent and amusing guest panelist on "What's My Line?" (1950), the jug-eared jokester went on to guest-host on the "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" (1962) a record 177 times. He also frequently appeared as a guest for Steve Allen and Jack Paar in their earlier late-nite formats.

Bishop entered the sitcom venue in the early 1960s. On his first show, "The Joey Bishop Show" (1961), he played Joey Barnes, the host of a TV talk show in New York. Abby Dalton came on board in the second season as wife Ellie. Among his co-stars were up-and-coming stars Bill Bixby and Marlo Thomas and such character veterans as Joe Besser, of The Three Stooges fame, and Mary Treen were brought aboard for stronger support. This popular show lasted four seasons. Life imitated art several years later when Bishop went on to compete against Carson for the late-night viewing audience with his own talk show "The Joey Bishop Show" (1967) for ABC. The show was no match for Carson, however, and quickly dwindled in ratings, fading away after two years. His co-host/sidekick/foil was none other than Regis Philbin. Dick Cavett eventually replaced him to fill the ABC midnight void.

Relatively overlooked for his work on film, Bishop did show some promise early in the game with occasional straight roles that veered away from his sarcastic comedy demeanor with such roles in The Deep Six (1958), The Naked and the Dead (1958) and Onionhead (1958). He would also generate public interest as the less-than-slick member of Hollywood's "Rat Pack", which was comprised of ultra-hip pals Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford. Known as "Sinatra's comic" at one time (for having frequently opened for the star), Bishop wrote material and serving as the emcee for many of the clan's Las Vegas shows in the 1960s. In addition he appeared in the "Rat Pack"-oriented movies Ocean's Eleven (1960) and Sergeants 3 (1962), but the straight-laced comedian later butted heads with the party-hearty Sinatra and split while the next film Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964) was in preparation. Elsewhere, he appeared as either a foil, sidekick, or guest cameos in such standard movies as Johnny Cool (1963), Texas Across the River (1966) with Dean Martin, Who's Minding the Mint? (1967) and even Valley of the Dolls (1967).

Once his late night TV show folded he returned to night clubs for a time but gradually withdrew more and more from the show-biz limelight in the 1970s. He appeared in only three films after this point -- The Delta Force (1986), Betsy's Wedding (1990) and Mad Dog Time (1996) -- and showing up on a rare occasion as a TV guest. Married to Sylvia Ruzga since 1941, their son Larry Bishop is an actor-turned-director and producer. Long retired and the last surviving "Rat Pack" member after Sinatra's death in 1998, his wife Sylvia of 58 years died of cancer in 1999. Joey, in failing health for some time, died of multiple organ failure on October 17, 2007, at his Newport Beach, California home.

Trivia
Member of the "Rat Pack" - himself, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford. All appear in Ocean's Eleven (1960).

Father of actor Larry Bishop.

Received a citation from Pope John XXIII for his help with the Boys Towns throughout Italy.

Weighed 2lbs, 14 oz, at birth. At the time was the smallest baby ever born at Fordham Hospital in New York City.

While he performed as the "straight man" during the famous "Rat Pack" performances in Las Vegas, he wrote much of the material that was performed on stage.

Guest-hosted "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" (1962) more than anyone else, doing so 177 times.

Was a regular on the 'Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts.'

Biography in: "Who's Who in Comedy" by Ronald S. Smith, pg. 53-54. New York: Facts on File, 1992. ISBN 0816023387

His professional surname, Bishop, was taken from the last name of a chauffeur friend of his in his early days in show business.

He and the other members of the Rat Pack were banned from Marilyn Monroe's funeral by Joe DiMaggio.

Is portrayed by Bobby Slayton in The Rat Pack (1998) (TV)

Some time after his wife's death, Nora Garbotti became his constant companion.

One of his biggest passions was simply playing golf with his comic cronies Buddy Hackett, Phil Foster and Dick Shawn.

Comedian/producer Danny Thomas was so impressed with Bishop that he had a weekly sitcom built around Bishop in the early 60s.

During his "Rat Pack" peak, he was asked by Sinatra to be the master of ceremonies for President Kennedy's inaugural gala.

Was the last surviving member of "The Rat Pack".

Personal Quotes
The kick [of comedy] is to think quickly. It's a great kick.

I don't consider success doing a show for 30 years; I'm sorry. To me, you're successful when you graduate from something. I did a series, I did a talk show, I did movies, I replaced Mickey Rooney [on Broadway] in "Sugar Babies." You understand?

I know you havent. You just said there were

nobody was present is a matter of some mystery, but that is how you present.

One woman was there the next day when the drugs had set in and he was rambling about putting 173 or 178 K in a bucket and he couldn't find the bucket.

She never issued an affidavit. You apparently
never asked her for one.

AGAIN Georger go back and READ the FACTS. They did not start the drugs until he got mad because I didn't understand who "'Dan Cooper" was.

Quote

So Duane was drugged because he got mad
that you did not underdstand who DAN Cooper was.

Have you claimed before Duane used the words
DAN Cooper in his confession?

If Duane did not say DAN Cooper what caused you
to use the name, if you have never heard the name
prior to Duane using it?

Why would Duane stress the name DAN as opposed to just saying "I am Cooper". Was Duane in love with the name DAN? Was the word DAN more important to Duane than the name Cooper? Did
Duane think the words Dan and Cooper went together
automatically - why not Mike and Cooper (Mike Cooper)? Do you underdstandwhat I am asking?
I dont recall you ever saying Duane used the words
DAN COOPER but simply said, "I am Cooper ... just
let it die". Where did the "just let it die" part come on? Were there witnesses to "just let it die" but
not to his confession to being Cooper?

Excuse me, again - you only try to jumble up things up and it is becoming rather evident to those who only read and do not post.

This 1994 issue of Soldier of Fortune Mag. has a photo of 10 men (the portion I posted was only of one man). I will not risk publicizing a complete photo with out permission and could not obtain that permission when I contacted them yrs ago.

There is writing within the photo, but since it is a very very small photo that I enlarged for detail - I cannot make out any of the letters or get any sense out of them. I was offering the complete picture to Georger on a private basis to decipher the lettering, but he got mad instead. I can only make out a letter here and there.

Since BuDop comes up on a TV program (even one of fiction) this means someone HAS really been listening to what I am saying or has a different angle regarding BuDop.

I would really like to know why they chose BuDop out of all the other things they could have chose.

There is NEW information on 2 of the people in Duane's past now, but I we don't want this to become another glich. The information is private information about individuals with whom I have no relation - therefore permission from the individuals or their relatives will have to given. Since some of this might be derogatory - I will tread lightly.

What this does is give up more of the background of Weber...when you can't get in the front door - try the back door.

What programs did Joey Bishop appear in?

Dinah!
Break the Bank
Celebrity Sweepstakes
Onionhead
Oceans Eleven
Person to Person
Esther Williams at Cypress Gardens
Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In

And what part did he play the majority of the time? That's right, himself.

His last performance was in Valley of the Dolls in 1967. Then an obvious 'hiatus' when he inexplicably appears on the Dean Martin Show in 1972. It's all so very convenient isn't it?

They all had their role to play, the Chairman in the Mafia, Dean-o as a wine-o, Peter as the lap dog brother in law to the Prez, Sammy as the token Jew; which left Joey to do all the dirty work.

They let him join the Rat Pack but he never plays any Rat games. How could Angie Dickinson have such encyclopedic knowledge about everyone and constantly mistake Bishop for a washroom attendant?

I can't believe that Joey didn't try to leave some kind of message about what the Rat Pack really did.

Just where the H--- did you get that. You know the confession was always "I'm Dan COOOOPer" and he cooed it out. When I didn't understand what he was talking about is when he said "Oh F--- let it die with me" out of pure frustration from trying to get me to understand.

:)My going public hurt me - this has been explained before. I had a contract with a FBI agent on a house and when I went public - he wanted to renege - I had to give someone else 60% of my commission to close the house. He was unaware of my involvement with the FBI or Cooper until the articles appeared. SO - YOU ARE WRONG...and YOU KNOW it.

Latest episode of Numb3rs (S06E10) is about DB Cooper ;)

This is what I was trying to explain - you guys knew this was going to be on.

:)The program talked about what I have talked about before BuDop in Vietnam March 1967 - Special Forces, Mike Force and CIA involvement with the HALO planting of small personal nuke devices. That is when I posted this picture of the man jumping with the Barrel between his legs. This is from the same 1994 December Issue of Soldier of Fortune Magazine, Duane deposited in a safe deposite box 3 months before he died.

I don't understand why this is all such a SURPRISE to all of you. It was a surprise to me the program used a suspect from Bu Dop which we had already discuss before...here on this forum. Meaning the writers have been reading this forum - I knew some of them were reading here, because when we talked about certain issues regarding various research - expressions NOT common, except to me were being used on various programs that subsequently came out.
Quade was aware of the writers lofting in this forum months ago.

377, Sluggo, snowmman - I am surprised how BAD you guys have been. Just remember you heard it first on DropZone in the D.B. Cooper threads.

Sammy as the token Jew;

"[edit] Car accident and conversion
Davis was almost killed in an automobile accident on November 19, 1954 in San Bernardino, California, as he was making a return trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.[14] The accident occurred at a fork in U.S. Highway 66 at Cajon Blvd and Kendall Drive. Davis lost his left eye as a result, and wore an eye patch for at least six months following the accident.[15][16] He appeared on What's My Line wearing the patch.[17] Later, he was fitted for a glass eye, which he wore for the rest of his life. While in the hospital, his friend Eddie Cantor told him about the similarities between the Jewish and black cultures. Prompted by this conversation, Davis — who was born to a Catholic mother and Protestant father — began studying the history of Jews and converted to Judaism several years later.[18][1] One passage from his readings, describing the endurance of the Jewish people, intrigued him in particular: "The Jews would not die. Three millennia of prophetic teaching had given them an unwavering spirit of resignation and had created in them a will to live which no disaster could crush".[19] In many ways, the accident marked a turning point in Davis's career, taking him from a well-known entertainer to a national celebrity and icon.[14]" (wiki)

Picture of jumper with big BARREL between his legs.

World's Greatest Jock Carrier.

Remember Duane's CB Handle.

Anyone game to decipher the writing on the photo of the 10 men at Bu Dop? We can not publish the photo, but I can send it by regular email and if you can fade the pic back we might be able to read the writing.
I have NO knowledge of how to do this.

So, you're saying you and your writer friends have
pulled a fast-one and 'fucked the shiksa and given her the clap' ... which means all of us!

You are so clever.

In moments like these when you are playing in your sandpile and have these epiphanies, do your hands shake, your knees quake, and you start mumbling incomprehensible things like: 'I HAVE TO FIND MY RATTLESNAKE - PRAISE JESUS - PRAISE DUANE PRAISE THE FBI - SHO MO KINO COW - WHERES MY TINFOIL HAT - I HAVE TO CALL SISTER STELLA AND PAR-BEY AND REPORT THE GOOD NEWS - OH JESUS, WHERE'S MY RATTLESNAKE - LILLIES OF THE
VALLEY SHO MO KINO COW!"

Take a fucking pill.

Yea. I saw it too. On the Sasquatch Channel.

Call 911 if your writer friends abandon you and
you start choking then turn red, green, and purple ...

better check yourself in the mirror right now.

Remember this Post #10947 posted on July 11, 2009 at 1:01 AM. I edited off the last part of the post - but this NEEDS to be repeated because of what was viewed on Numbers in a episode called - Old Soldiers aired on Friday Dec. 4 2009 - writers R Scott and T Scott - not known to me.

Guys,
I am trying my best to bite the bullet and keep quiet, but I want everyone in this forum to think back to when I posted the pic from Page 49 of a SOLDIER of FORTUNE Magazine dated Dec. 1994.

This magazine was the ONLY item in a safety deposit box owned by Duane L. Weber (one, I as his wife did not know he had). I found the receipt in his belonging and went to the bank with the will. Since the box did not have my name on it the bank did not allow me to view the box, but brought this magazine out and told me" this is all that was in it". He had to have placed this magazine in the box in Dec. 1994 or by Feb of 1995 just before he became too ill to drive on his own.

A yr later when I found out who Dan Cooper was - the magazine didn't seem important and I had placed it with ALL of the tax returns he had kept from 1968. It was always something I pushed into the back of my mind. Months ago a post in the thread caused me to pulled it out and read it from cover to cover again trying to figure out why this magazine was in that box. I don't really remember the re-actions of the thread, but it is out in front of me again, because of the recent posts.

Yrs ago I was contacted by a man who told me that John Collins was removed from Jefferson Federal Prison and place in to a "program". I didn't believe the man. but the FBI never provided me with the Jefferson records and all I got was what this forum guided me to obtain which is detailed in the thread. I tried to obtain the detail work logs and reports which I could never get because after a period of time those no longer exist (30 yrs). Prior to the expiration of that 30 yr period, I had made several exchanges with the prison - and got 3 different stories regarding John C. Collins and others.

The story in the magazine centers around BuDop March 1967 (supposedly Duane was in prison). The picture of the BuDop encampment taken from the air resembles a painting Tony Wong had done of a "place" he and Duane obviously spent some time at. (this conclusion was reached by conversation I over heard between the two of them).

Names mentioned in this article are:
Lieutenant John "Jack" Throckmorton, son of Colonel Throckmorton NOT General Throckmorton.
Chief Warrant Officer Jerry Johnson,
"China Boys"
Staff Sargeant Roger Haliberg,
Sergeant First Class J.W. Edgell
Captain Stewart (they never give a 1st name).
Master Sergeant Charles Hosking,
HALO jumps with the dummy device (barrel),
The Green Berets knew the SADM (small atomic demolitions munition),
Captain Stewarts first name is never given.

The reason I am reminding you of this is because this thread has gone back to Vietnam. I don't know what the damn magazine means, but you JUST do not put a magazine in a Safe Deposit box.
Considering the subject matter and the atttached photos and the mention of HALO's done at night...WHAT was Duane's connection to this?

I find it difficult to even think of Duane in terms of actually being in Vietnam - but maybe having been associated with someone mentioned or pictured. The group picture states that only 2 Americans survived the ambush and 1 of those is named.

So what I am getting at - did Duane know someone mentioned in that article or the writer John Mullins? He was TOO connected to that Magazine. It was 1994 when I saw that airline ticket. The house was broke into after I sold the VAN. What was with that Wallet the new owner found? Why did the man tell 2 different stories about where he found the wallet. Did Duane leave a note with the wallet telling me where something was hidden in the house. When the house was broke into NOTHING was taken that I was aware of, but the handles to the fire irons where all loose (I noted this because I went to set them up straight). Duane always said Hide it in Plain Site. Did he leave a note directing me to a treasure and someone else thought it was money - could it have been the airline ticket or one of the $20's?

I will always have these question in my mind - till the day I die. Why did he tell me anything? Why did he hide his past?
If I told you about another thing I found I would be called a liar or delusional. I was too stupid to see what was right in front of me and something I had in my possession - I didn't know the value of it because I didn't know who Dan Cooper was. Stupid Naive Dumb me. Always taking things and people at face value and never asking too many questions.

All that is left now is unanswered questions and I am afraid to trust anyone with everything - I am tired of being called delusional - I am tired of trying to tell people what I held in my own hands and saw with my own eyes. Tired of trying to tell people what he told me and showed me. I am tired of secrets and tired of not being heard (except for you guys).

Since 1996 I have told the truth and nothing but the truth regarding what I know. I have NOT lied nor am I delusional. In 2001 when the FBI found I
was going Public - everything that has been done has been done to SILENCE me and to make me go away. I wouldn't give up - so now the FBI's and "other's who be " decided they have done enough to convince anyone interested that I am just one of the "wannabe's" or as others in the forum have said - delusional.

I believe someone out there knows who Cooper was. In other circumstances our
own government ordered pictures and files destroyed - wiped-out because their content would jeopardize national security. I ask (what national security - a security they have build on lies and deception)? If ever was the time to come straight out with all of the secrets now is the time.

It will take someone like Snowmman to expose them. We know our government has had their hands dirty before - they just don't want the world to know how many times and to what extent. Our economy is in the gutter, our people
living on the streets while one illegal uses up 2 millon dollars in medical expense because they can't deport him.
