PRO: $5000 paid by Elliot Spitzer to Emperor's Club "hostess" Ashley Dupre'.

SEMI PRO: $24,000,000 in prenup amendment concessions and still climbing, offered by Tiger Woods to his wife as compensation for his "transgressions" with female companions who were not professional sex workers.

good one 377.

I really liked that report, supposedly from a Tiger friend, where he said Tiger called and said he was in rush, had to go to Zale's and get a "Kobe Special".

Friend asks "What's a Kobe Special?"
Tiger: "House on a finger..."

Cooper Pac - Hey Farflung How did you know Cooper played the Saxs? Did you know he also played with Doc of the old Johnny Carson show?

Me having fun.

Oh, by the way 377 - I did do the morph I use for a avatar, but it was a lot of print, cut and paste with NO alterations of the dimensions. Only problem was I had no dead face on pic of Weber so the merge made the face look a little more narrow than it should be. A slight pen tack at the hair line and that was it. Thanks anyway

Snowmman - was that meant to be funny or are you DEAD serious. All I have is an email informing me of his death. I do not get the West Coast news here in this small southern town.

The media in the South reporting little regarding Cooper in 1971 - is one thing I believe may have resulted in NO one pointing a finger at a possible suspect.

Fuck Quentin Tarantino, ungrateful bastard. I am boycotting his movies, or buying pirate DVDs instead and ripping copies for all my friends.

A jumper would never have treated you like that Snowmman, not after you showed so much Icelandic party love. You'd be repaid, perhaps not as spectacularly, but you definitely would have been introduced to some party hearty DZ girls. They drink like Icelandic girls but jump the next morning. Skydiving is well known as the best cure for a hangover.

So who would make the perfect Cooper movie? Tarantino was a great choice but the selfish bastard is just a taker.

I'd sugest Roman Polanski, an extraordinary film director, but as the father of a teenage girl I have to put him on my shit list too. I actually hope he is extradited and serves time in the US. In prison, child molesters are at the bottom of the pecking order...figuratively speaking.

Travolta should be in the movie, just beacuse he likes aviation so much. His cult stuff is wacky but he is reported to be a nice guy off the set and out of the "church." He is type rated in a 747 so getting qualified to fly a leased 727 sholdnt be a big problem. Travolta as Rat, would that work?

Who will be Tina? Flo? Cooper?

Cast your cast vote.

I am dead serious. It happened after I posted that youtube video from JFK talking about Duane and Flight 305.

Watch it again.

I always assumed that everyone posting here, their days are numbered...I didn't realize they'd work from the outlier involvers first. Maybe just to scare us?

Brilliant Casting! I can actually see Travolta and rat physically matching appearance..Travolta would bring a lot to the role.

Of course that means, we'd have to get Rat involved in the post-Cooper escapades to south africa with gold. But that'll work. re-write! I can see Travolta bringing the 727 down on the dirt strip now, with 377 hanging out the SIDE door spotting the landing and yelling into the stew phone ....

I remember reading about his periscopes. He sold them for political rallies. He had a bunch made up with Obama stuff on them. The idea being you could see while standing in the crowd.

Here's the story on the Obama Scope.

Picture is there, along with some recent vid of Tosaw.

Snow,

You've been on dropzone long enough to know that asking a jumper to LAND in a jumpable plane with an open door is asking an awful lot, but I guess if the pay was good and I got to hang out and talk planes with Travolta I'd do it.

Travolta and I are are huge fans of the Lockheed Constellation. He actually owned one for a while. It was an ex budworm sprayer saving the Canadian forests from infestation. I saw it fly into the airport at Santa Barbara on its ferry flight from Canada. It was a mess. It had windows crudely broken out to accomodate pipes leading to wing mounted bolt on spray bars. He sold it when his career tanked. When he made his comeback he bought a Boeing 707 and still owns and flies it.

I'll bet someone could write a sellable screenplay about Cooper. It has all the right ingredients.

377,

I would cast Pamela Anderson as Tina with opening shots of her running back and forth with messages for the flight crew. Each shot zooming closer and closer as she trundles between disinterested passengers on a mission to save lives.

But on the seventh or eighth trip I would have the camera do a tight zoom to her nameplate as a protest to the corporate world and how people are reduced to mere numbers. I'm sensitive like that.

Flo would have to be played by Adrienne Barbeau, it's been a while since she's had some screen time and would work well with the Anderson motif.

Cooper would have to be Raquel Welch as a vehicle to reprise her caveman role. I've also got some ideas about how to make better use of a black raincoat and time in the lavatory.

The flight crew are little more than window dressing since they just did what Tina told them after she ran down the fuselage in slow motion. Pilot- Ann Margaret, Co Pilot- Tura Satana and Flight Engineer- Sophia Loren. Of course the F-106 pilot would be Angelina Jolie and the Rigger grabbing the parachutes would be Salma Hayek who would be doing lots of running in order to convey a sense of urgency.

I don't see anything wrong with a few 'dream sequences' involving the cast in some sort of tropical or Icelandic prison setting where retribution is meted out with the most medieval of devices. Just some quick ideas, haven't given the subject that much thought.

You probably wrote for Joey Bishop. All this time I thought Bishop was an intellectual comedian he was just reading your scripts.

Another icon tarnished by a cruel application of reality. When will the carnage stop?

I forgot to tell you all that I was iinformed last night about the death of Richard Tosaw - author of Dead or Alive. He was 84 yrs old. Those of us who diligently do our research have read his book and the articles written about his work.

If we all work together - we will find something missed by the FBI in regards to finding out who Cooper was. We know this man did NOT just put a chute on for the first time and jump out of a 727 in 197l. He was exposed to jump training at some point in his life and had the knowledge of 727's. His exposure was low - to the point he was someone no one would remember.

All of the research done seems to go to Fort Bragg, but little is said about Ft. Benning. Cooper was rugged - a loner - a trouble maker - a man no one would miss. We need to compile a list of the ways he could have learned to jump and where.

What if the CIA or another such organization wanted to do an operation that was not legal?
Bear with me for a moment because I don't understand any of this myself. It is beyond my conception of why a government would be involved in such an operation at all.

Question? Without drugs being involved why in the 50's or 60's would a group steal planes and take them to South America.
Something about stripping parts.
The operation involved WA, OR, MX and TX and South America. I only know its and bits - and not enough to understand.
1. I know El Capitan and Casa Grande where involved.
2. Knowledge of planes (such as a mechanic to strip them).
3. Knowledge of chutes - for whatever reason.

Of course they needed pilots.
What would be the reasoning of such a group and why would there be ANY government involvement? Sounds more like ex-government employees using their knowledge and experience to make money - but drugs were NOT involved during the early yrs. Dropping drugs with chutes came later. This is how drug running came to be - but WHAT was their purpose in the late 50's.

Something like the above should generate lots of suspects flying under the radar.

Some posters are trying to make the best of the thread by using it to find facts, then use those facts to help solve the case. This thread is the only skyjumping thread available where Cooper researchers can actually talk with real live jumpers and glean from their experiences and apply the knowledge to what is known about Cooper.

Those of us who want answers (regardless of our purpose) need to work together. This means not using valuable time to ridicule anyone for their contributions. This could become The COOPER THINK TANK and a tool that might get this case solved. What we need to do is to use this valuable tool made available to us and actually do something THE FBI can't do and has not done to this day in December of 2009 - SOLVE - The Only UNSOLVED SKYJACKING.

The collective knowledge in this forum is needed to do this. ALL of us are quilty of destroying the purpose of being here. This community did NOT allow us here to make accusations or to post unrelated material - there are other threads for that. Can't we all talk about the different suspects and develope new suspects without all of the "crap" for lack of a better word?

Yes, we NEED to have fun once in awhile and sometimes step away from Cooper, but we need to keep our goal in mind. We need to make every post count - no accusations - or being critical of the opinions of others. What Georger has done regarding the analyzing of a post I did is a good example - he did this without name calling or belittling the other poster.

:)

Obviously my making the above post was a useless as tits on a bore hound.

I am still going to provide some information; On February 2, 2003 I was contacted by a man identifying himself as Doug F----.
The email address and a Florida telephone number are no longer valid, but he told me a story about a suspect.

Below are the notes I made to myself on my log that day:

Told me about a man by the name of Bob Safrin (nickname Bullet). Evidently Bullet said he knew who Cooper was, but he died just 3 wks prior (this would make it January 2003). Bob worked in with Northwest Airlines and was approximately 24 at the time of the highjacking, but I do not know how old his suspect was.

This guy told Bob he could to the crime and just a few days later it happened.

I did talk to him again, but do not remember the conversations without my finding them in the logs. About a month later I was contacted by an attorney from a northern state who had a client who thought her deceased
husband was Cooper. I would have another contact with this attorney recently, but still do not know who the person is or if it is connected to this attorney.

It was during this same time frame a man by the name of Meyers was bugging me.

Now I gave you a suspect - go find him. I will reveal the name and the phone number I had for the contact only to ONE individual on this forum because I do not believe in disclosing private information in a public manner. If you can find this guy - invite him to come to the forum.

I didn't see the tv show but the video is available online (full) from cbs. Cool! unedited. No commercials
(except at the very beginning)

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/numb3rs/video/?pid=oHrz_3IZlOVEy5h_wE0MoMCMaUDc852L&vs=Default&play=true

They've got 4 short 2 minute clips of highlights

In Odds of Survival, they even have the little cardboard box idea for the Cooper FBI evidence, and some classic photos that people will recognize.

The clips are probably all you want to see: (although I liked the opening of the 44 minute one ..Its cool when they realize they've got the old bills)

Weird the Numb3rs thing turns into a murder, and Tosaw was just murdered. Connected?

In Odds of Survival, the math guy points out how bogus the LZ prediction was.

(edit) I updated the short clip order so they're in the same order as the show (I think)

how bizarre.
The combined stool and periscope is patented in 1977
the collapsible periscope in 1980.
Both pre-Cooper!
And he revisits it for the obama inauguration.

Who would patent a combined stool and periscope in 1977? It looks like it needs a toilet paper holder.

Here's the TSA manual with current screening procedures, with the redacting removed.
I hate when I read a news story, and they don't provide a link to the source material.

http://cryptome.org/tsa-screening.zip

I scanned the doc and all I could think was "what a tangled web we weave". ..

If the safety of planes in the air is dependent on wide numbers of US citizens implementing stuff as described in the doc above, well, that's interesting technology deployment.

Seems unsustainable, but who knows.

(edit) interesting they have sample badges in there of various kinds starting on page 58.

(edit) Oh yeah, forgot this:

Are people that feel fine with trashing someone while they're alive, but then get all weepy when they're dead.

If someone here has a personal connection to Tosaw, then just say it and I'll apologize.

Otherwise you're just full of shit.

How many other "currently alive guys" all of a sudden get hands off treatment when they're dead?

Does Jo get different treatment when she's dead? When she's dead it won't matter.

Tosaw's patents are not utility patents but rather design patents. Design patents are worthless for protecting any functional novelty. Design patents only protect the visual appearance. Super easy to avoid
ingringment, just change the looks. Maybe Tosaw didn't care.

He was the go-to guy to find missing heirs. It was more of an investigative agency than a law office, but Tosaw was well regarded by other lawyers. He found a lucrative and useful niche. His status as a retired FBI SA gave him tons of credibility as a skilled locator of missing persons.
