I knew a guy that knew a guy that had seen a story about a guy that talked to a guy whose wife's one armed lover once had a roommate in prison whose son's girlfriend's brother's best friend. . . had the word 'COOPER' on what looked to be a hockey helmet probably once used for clandestine parajump thingies...stranger than truth & you can look it up! :)

funny.

my wife bought a used mini Cooper a couple months ago. I've never mentioned DBC to her, so I thought she was messing with my mind.

I have had discussions with guys who jumped
in Calif back in the day. They are all certain that they knew who DBC was.

I was a Calif jumper in 71 and you are correct.

Many jumpers secretly hoped that they would be a suspect. After all just being a skydiver in 71 was cool. There were no tandems so our tales of incredible courage and barely manageable technical difficulty were accepted in whole. Being Cooper would have been cool to the tenth power.

I kinda wished I were a suspect. I kept jumping surplus gear when everyone was buying squares. I had been to Seattle just before Norjack.
Sadly nobody considered me for a second.

Not one Cooper discussion with your spouse??

I guess I can see that.

Well how about the sex with nuns?

Hey I'll be honest. I had one conversation, and I sounded borderline psychotic, so I realized you can't talk about DBC in the normal world.

The nuns? Well, you know how hard it is to find Icelandic twins (Tiger Woods was aiming for Swedish twins but got lost in the rough)..

You want difficult? Icelandic twin nuns, who used to be stewardesses before they joined up.

Tina knew a thing or two about attractors. She wasn't running from Cooper...she was working on her assets.

The FBI would have loved to hear someone get on this
forum and mention some unknown tidbit.
Didn't happen.

:)almost right about that and I have always believed it was about what was in that paper sack or something he said to Tina.....

:|Regardless Cooper would most assuredly have been deceased by the time this thread came to be, therefore it had to be someone who knew him...but even those would all be deceased as are NINE of the individuals who knew Weber - that could have shed some light on his past...who the FBI did not interview...nor did they investigate the past of 4 of these individual as they should have done.

Considering Cooper would in his early to mid 80's by now, it is very unlikely he would have been computer literate. When you think out these things - the only information the FBI could expect to glean from this forum would be learning how skyjumpers think and to learn the technical things and speculation only skyjumpers would make.

Only a rookie agent who had not even thought the case out would have conceived of coming to a jumper forum. I never expected to find someone who knew Duane, but hoped that my being here might cause others to go out and talk to the old timers and there were many who did just that.

I am sure that all of the writers who visit this forum have gleaned the knowledge and terminology to describe in their books how the jump occurred and will apply it to their own subject. They came here without others knowing who they were - but, I was open - I had no motive other than learning anything that might help me understand why a man would confess to the crime and hoping for some insight into his behaviour and actions during the yrs we were married.

The technical STUFF went right over my head - but, then I am not writing a book.

1. I learned the hardware was actually part of a chute.

2. I learned the survival of the jump was very feasible

3. I learned how others react to me and what I had to say about Weber.

4. I have explored lots of theories regarding Weber and Cooper.

5. I learned how many suspects are actually out there - but none ever confessed to being Cooper.
I discount Gossett - because only an idiot would tell his kids he was Cooper until it was too late for someone to do anything about it. Gossett would have been looking at yrs or life in prison - kids talk about things there Dad's say. Dad's like to kid about things like that...just to se the kids eyes light up.

6. The FBI claimed there were other deathbed confession, but not one was ever revealed and I can assure you any living relative would have been intouch with me had this actually have happened.

7. I have met some of America's best through this forum - not counting Georger - he is an investor and not a jumper, pretending to have knowledge of too many thing to be an expert at anyone of them. I am not sure what Snow is or his objective might be...strange guy, but not rude and abrasive (that is an art in itself).

8. Some of the other NON jumpers who have been here came only to see what it was all about. Any of you know how many college students and high school students did papers on Cooper in the last 3 yrs? Some were nice enough to contact me and tell me about their papers.

9. I had offers to help me with the research, because there was just something there with Weber that had never been there with any suspects. Answers I offered thur what Duane said and did - providing the only answers that ever made sense and fit the money find in 1980...information that matched papers never made available to the public - not even today. None of you know the details about this and there was NO way I could know this - until it was pointed out to me time and time again.

10. Research I asked the FBI about and was never done - some of it has been done. Research that Jerry could have done - because I asked him several times about certain properties and the names of those buried in 3 specific cemeteries. Washougal, One off of Coffee Road and the other East of I-5 up before you turn toward Lake Merwin. I asked about a certain piece of property on the South side of Lake LaCames. Jerry could have gone to the county records and have found all of this. I asked him to check the papers for the missing boat. He chose to take an opposing position - because of a petty thing - he was not allowed to be my guide in 2001...not my choice - the production company's choice. No one knows why he chose to mis-direct me - only he knows that.

11. Others have said there was something buried in my memory that was important - not sure what that could be - as I have tried to tell everything I could remember to the best of my abililties...I will always believe whatever it was - may have been in the hidden wallet, but I am not the one who found it.

Duane kept asking me if the VAN was locked - he didn't like my using when I was coming to the hospital. My home was broke into later that yr and the only things disturbed were the fire irons - I went to straighten them up and the handles fell off, but there was nothing in them. I did not know they were hollow. I could understand one falling apart but not 3 out of 4. Nothing else was distrubed and nothing taken I was aware of.

12. I expect there will be a lot of surprises regarding Cooper within the next few months - some expected and some unexpected.
I will not say anymore about that, at this time. Perhaps none of them will be my simple story as I know it - the sad man who had no future - and the successful man who found himself making more money than he ever dreamed he could earn in a yr...all of this during the 6 yrs before he became disabled in 1988 - yet he continued to pull his load eeking out a living from the shop until 1994 when he had done all he could do...to make his life right with God.

13. Now just a short story about his last yrs on this earth. He had this huge down Blue jacket and he would go to the grocery for me since I was working 10 hours a day. Our cupboard was full of Kool-aid. We didn't drink Kool-aid andthen I discovered several packages in his coat pocket. He keeping in practice.

I went to the grocery and told them I knew my husband was taking things - and offered to re-imburse them for anything I discovered he had taken. They told me they already knew he was taking small items, but because of his age and health
they had chose to ignore it.

He didn't do this because we couldn't afford the Kool-aid or bottle of aspirn, but because he had to keep in practice - and just because he could. He had this grin that would melt the heart of anyone he spent time with. He would give a man the shirt off his back - he turned his back on no one. I will still never understand how a man who had spent all of those yrs in 6 different prisons could be the man I knew - but, he was.

He had his moments as any of us do - but he was in his heart a good man and I believe that same sad man - Tina met on Nov 24 1971. In 1996 he was thankful for the yrs God had given him - facing his God bravely and remembered the words spoke to him that night in 1971.....only tonight did I realize what those words meant.

The afternoon before he was shouting about "Let's go Jo - lets get this Show on down the road, Jo" I don't remember his exact words - I am sure I have written them down before.

That night they put a patch on him that night - told me to go home because I had been at the hospital night and day for wks. going home only to shower and change.

The next day when I got to the hospital they said he had been asking for me and that he didn't have long.

His last words:

"Take the Baby downstairs"
"Bring the Baby upstairs"
"I can't go till the Baby gets here".
"I love you."

I just realized he must have had this discussion with Tina on that plane. He was talking about the rebirth as Tina had prayed for his soul and his rebirth - It was part of her pray for him and praying for his soul - because he himself felt he would die that night...and he was "ascared". She assured him he would be reborn - as he had confessed his sins to her...that is what he was talking about. Right now this is the first time those words ever made sense. I never understood what he was talking about.

Maybe this is how it is supposed to end.

I've been running traces on all stewardess related porn sites.

I have a server running a stewardess porn chat room.
(edit) Yes, of course, there I'm "Tina".

You know how many old men I've had to engage, while trying to find Cooper?

You don't want to know.

You do know that Ckret and most other FBI SAs have to spend hours trolling for adults on fake iwannahookupwithanoldman.underage.com don't you Snow?

It was just a short leap to the idea of recruiting citizen sleuths.

Damn. For a while I really thought we were Junior G Men.

Ckrets little experiment went to hell when Jo went on a rampage with the SAC.

Now Ckret is pretending to be a chemist with Jihadist leanings. He goes by the screen name of Dr. Akbhar on makeabomb.com.

We've been trolled. I have Stockholm Syndrome and still see Carr as a well meaning, intelligent, decent guy... neither rude nor abrasive.

what was sadder was realizing Ckret thought he was a little G-man.

Did you listen to that interview where he kind of jokingly talked about how he fantasized about being a Point Break kind of Keanu Reaves guy before he joined the agency?

I think he was half-kidding. But I half thought it was a shout-out to us...remember how he loved to joke about Point Break?

I wonder if he really did fantasize a little..everyone does.

Poor Ckret.

377 lied "You do know that Ckret and most other FBI SAs have to spend hours trolling for adults on fake iwannahookupwithanoldman.underage.com don't you Snow?"

You lie. There's some fine young Russian women who just need some extra cash for skydiving, and although I said I only post on DZ.com but have never jumped, they said that is good enough.

They don't just talk to anyone, you know.

It really bugged me when when Sluggo tried to pass off the "Science Team" as the real citizen sleuths.

I hope everyone realizes that only I am allowed to speak for the CSG.

There's plenty of supporting evidence that backs me up, so I don't have to display further credentials.
What did you think? I'm some kind of nut that has nothing better to do than post on this hellhole?

Sure, the CSG might just be non-agency folks and slow as molasses, but it's a job.

Jo's analysis of the symbolism in Duane's last words would have greatly pleased my high school English teacher. She was always finding Christian rebirth meanings in everything from Willa Cather to JD Salinger. Want an A? Find a rebirth from accepting Christ symbolism in anything from Moby Dick to A Tale of Two Cities.

How about Duane shoplifting massive caches of Kool Aid? How does that risky behavior fit in with him pulling up stakes and moving to avoid attention, especially if he thought he'd "left his prints on the aft stairs."

A shoplifting arrest would include fingerprinting.
When did Duane ever give anyone "the shirt off his back." Last I heard he was swiping their coats.

Still, I found Jo's post strangely touching.

the weird thing is how Jo quickly switches from "Oh I'm open to other Cooper suspects" to an open-and-shut "Duane is Cooper" saga.

I wonder if Duane had any flavor preferences on the Kool-Aid?

I'm expecting that by the year of that crime, there was always sugar added. (not the smaller without-sugar packs).

So the packages would be pretty big. (foil, not paper. The you-add-sugar ones were paper if I recall)

Gatorade (powdered) would have been better..

You'd better not be scheming on my Olga Snow. She's 22 but is really into guys 3 times her age who have at least a hundred jumps on rounds and know what a pucker vent on a C9 is and where to find it.

I sent her the money for a ticket on a flight direct from Leningrad to Perris Valley. She says the flight has been delayed, you know, all the heightened security and everything...

Yeah but do the trains run on time?

Saudi isn't a democracy. It works like China: keep people fed and feeling well off and you hope they won't revolt. In the words of the immortal Bob, a hungry mon is an angry mon.

Go back to Ckret's posts. The club was discussed
at length.

As for Snow & 377's socalled candidate; that is old news also unless it is something recent.

Its funny how some people (the same people)
find the need to repeat themselves and then
complain about no news? So I will repeat my
response to that made years ago too, to the same people -

Are you being Entertained?

Oh, and a number of people have left the forum.
Did you get that?

Seriously Georger, find the suspect THEN tell us how irrelevant he is.

Or admit that Snow is a better searcher and beg for the name.

I had to eat some RF cooked crow because I couldn't find him.

How do you like your crow seasoned?

The dogs don't chew them unless Snow gives them permission.

This is a great lesson in the subtilty of search word choices.

Jo,

That is very odd indeed. It has more the earmarks of a drug ripoff burglary than a Cooper cash burglary.

Did Duane take drugs such as Cocaine? Did he ever sell drugs or broker deals? Did anyone think he did?

Was anything in your freezer disturbed? It is a surprisingly frequent place for hiding valuable contraband and criminals know it.
