I don't want to cause this thread to lock up and I DO NOT want to spend what is left of my life arguing with you. This thread was a productive thread and they made a lot of contributions toward finding answers about how the crime was committed and How Cooper could survive or not. I have tried to be polite to you, but I can't do that anymore.
This thread is NOT about ME. It is about finding other solutions so therefore in the best interest of the thread it is best I just sit out for awhile. No, but they were sent out because they KNEW that is what F106's would LOOK like trying to follow a 727 with flaps and gear down!! Mickey Mouse and Mighty Mouse Twins. The jets couldn't fly slow enough and the helicopter couldn't fly fast enough. Known criteria. Pilots know this stuff. This was a Project by pilots, for pilots, run by pilots, executed by pilots and covered up by pilots. Duane was a tool. I was a keeper of information for McCoy.

Some place I have the weather that was recorded the night of the jump (ground temps) and the morning after. I forgot who sent me this info, but I do have the actual weather reports day before and day after.
I also recall reading about the next morning when they were doing searches from helicopters and planes - the temperature was warm enough for that time of the yr and they spotted what they thought was a chute, but it was a canopy and kids fishing along the banks. Kids Fishing along the banks - it couldn't have been too cold the morning after the jump!
I believe I read that in Himmelsbach's book. This is a man who would like to believe Cooper cratered, but his own book supports the fact it was NOT freezing cold the next morning.

I do not know of which you speak. I can not assume that the information you are reciting was given to you accurately. I can assure you that what I posted is what his directions were. If it sounds impossible, it was probably intended to make you think that way. However he did it, it was prearranged that he use the dummy chute as a primary. You tell me how it was done. I seem to remember something about using it in back and having to reach for something. That make any sense? Front in back?? Reverse again!! Old guy dressed like a young guy?? Chain smoker and heavy drinker?? This was not a hyjacking project, it was an ANTI-hyjacking project. Everything is backwards, in reverse, not what it seems. Read George C. Nuttall. Look at this picture it is a belly reserve. So unless Cooper was superman and could lift a few tons (literally) there is NO WAY that a person could jump out holding onto a reserve and keep holding. Look up Mr Bill on dz.com it is a type of jump where 1 jumper holds onto another during deployment.
If your claim is going to stand up to any scrutiny you need a plausible explanation of how he secured a belly reserve WITHOUT a harness.
Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

That is not something I can do. I remember being told that whatever he was using could be put in back and that nobody knew that. He would have to reach, but it would work. Go fetch. You are the experts, I only report what was said. There is an awful lot of misinformation that the 'crew for cover-up' has puked up. Are you sure the info you have on the harness is correct? The trainer was one of the best riggers in the business. I have full confidence he knew what he was talking about.

OK. Given. Let me amend the statement made in a moment of frustration: I have never lied about anything having to do with this case. I have had some misinformation which I was corrected on when presented with valid information, but everyone has. Even Blevin, and like a real man he admits it. He just needs to check out the will and yank the book altogether.
Jo, I will be happy to limit my posts to no more than 5 per week if that makes you happy. Will you be nice and at least consider the possibility of what I tell you rather than refusing to listen? Be as tolerant as you were with Jason, and that was going ten miles, I'm sure.

I'm still goin' after all these years..... This marks my forty-turd year. 1968-2011. The further you go the harder they get, and I live in the last block, last house. Futility is in the eye of the beholder. There are two people who have accepted what I say. And they are in the positions to count. Nuttall, less Gov't Island, etc., would be a possibility.
Getting something wrong does not 'blow your credibility' and throw out everything else. Constant negative responses, steady counter-information, flat-out refusing to listen, proclamations of insanity, lying, trolling and misdirection should not enter in to the discussion. Simple give and take discussion would be constructive and help Jo answer questions. Why is there so much competition here? Post a three word sentence and get accused of Piracy on the High Seas. This could be really constructive. Is there an underlying motive or really just the nature of skydivers in general? Are you all Democrats? Strike that!

Just my humble opinion, but I think that credibility and being constructive is a two way street. You state that Duane absolutely jumped with the chute marked with an X. Other comments you have made here and on Facebook about actual events that occurred on Nov 24 1971 are strong, declarative, absolute statements, yet -- you were only involved as a witness to something that was being planned 3 years prior, you yourself admit that you did not see or talk to Duane after 1968, you admit that you were not there on the Nov 24, 1971 night in question, and you admit that you only know what actually occurred that night essentially through third hand information over a telephone --- from the "real" McCoy who was also not on the flight the night in question. .
Just sayin...and I'm being nice here....Even if everything that you say you actually witnessed or heard first hand in 1968 is true.... Planning does not equal execution. Ask the majority of folks who make New Year's resolutions.
You cannot be absolute about anything that Duane / Dan / McCoy / Christiansen / Mickey Mouse, et al did or didn't do that night if you were not there to witness it at the time of the occurrence. And as I think you've also argued yourself --- some might say there are no absolutes when it comes to eyewitness anything.

You stated that he used the chest mount reserve. You mentioned that fact it is illogical is what makes it so clever and likely to throw people off (my paraphrase).
With all due respect if you know so little about jumping, the hardware or how to mount this on that then you don't know enough to verify if the trainer was one of the best riggers in the business or just full of shit. You should probably tread carefully what you say with regards to the alleged jumping equipment.
Put simply a chest mount reserve (the one with the X) has "clasps" that are intended to snap onto a body worn harness that has D rings in the appropriate places. The sport rig that was provided did not have the required D-rings to allow attachment. This leaves a situation where you say he jumped using a parachute but you don't mention how he attached it to himself. This as you can imagine is critical for survival - and I personally think an explanation would be required for your story to have any credibility.
At this point I see your claim in the same league as saying that he jumped without a parachute and did a plane to plane transfer (which has been done before - just not at night, from a jet by a whuffo).

Until he found out that there were a lot of Tommy Gunns and the most famous was a porno star!
Just because you didn't hear 'Tommy Gunn' out of my mouth does not mean you invented it. God! You are difficult, woman! Assume for one moment that you are not the sole authority on this subject and that all truth does not emminate from your notebook. There are DOZENS of people who could, but will not confirm what I say, particularly his star friends. You are totally right on THAT count. Read Nuttall. He puts McCoy in the mix, too. HE'S RIGHT!!
