All Mr Green said was that he didn’t find my posts funny and vomited in his mouth (as you do). He made his opinion known and that was all. Why won’t they leave him alone???? This is a larger mystery than DB Cooper to the likes of a Mr Green yet he views himself as contributing, weird.

Yet you continue, apparently unaware of how many ‘special friends’ you are making with everyone of your well thought out and enlightened 29 comments. Most of which are two or three words and unintelligible.

Used to be smart, but now it seems like I get dumber everyday.

I read back and I didn't understand why you gals got so up set with Mr. Green. It is obvious he is not used to communicating in a forum most of the individuals have a predetemined conception of Cooper. Give the guy a break - he came here to learn something about Cooper for a reason.

Give the guy time to get used to you - you guys were pretty hard on someone who obviously came here to learn something - not be picked on. I don't like certain posts either, so I just learned to skim it for content and move on.

It is really hard for me to get past "really nasty posts" where the person does not know how to be polite or is a smart ass. I didn't get that opinion of Green.
He seemed like a man who was searching for some information on D.B.Cooper and Duane L.Weber and it brought him here.

Lots of people key Duane L. Weber/ D.B. Cooper and simple things - I tried these kinds of searches and I did come up with a link to D.Z. one time. After that I tried it and D.Z. was gone.

I am a DUMB ass when it comes to searches.

Disagree. I love farflung's posts, and I reckon he could make money out of his writing. Not a huge Kinky fan personally to be honest. Sure. Currency paper is composed of about 25
percent linen and 75 percent cotton.

I never told Geof there were two types of silver in
the money. What I told him was the FBI had finger
printed the money using a silver nitrate process,
and traces of that were very evident.

I told him this was distinct from any particulate silver
on the money, which could be linked to a specific
geological location (Tina Bar vs Washougal, etc).

I told him Tom had zapped an area on one of the
bills which vaporised some of the chemical Ag and
produced some very distinct silver spheres - so now
"there are two types of silver on the money",
chemical and particulate. It was a joke.

Again, to my knowledge Tom never found any
particulate silver on the bills, which could tie the
money to some silver bearing geology. In the backs
of our minds was the fact the Washougal had once
been a silver mining region. If the money had spent
time in that area we wondered if it might have
picked up a type of silver indiginous to that area.

The only thing I told Geof regarding an independent
discovery were several conjectures I made which
Geof very clearly did not understand, so its not worth
going into. This had nothing to do with silver, in any
event.

Geof surfaced with this over a year ago and I issued
a correction to him and everyone. I think I talked to
Tom about it so Tom would be aware. I am
surprised Geof went ahead and published this, in
spite of people correcting him. What he is saying
is simply erroneous.

I'm in 2 minds as to whether this is an apology or another attempt at humor ("fine community"?!). However will give you benefit of the doubt

...posts do get mean spirited here sometimes....but you'll find the long time posters do defend each other when they feel a need. As you have already noted - best thing to do with the posters you feel waste space is just ignore them.

I do NOT know why they are all being so hostile toward you. I have no idea who Ringo is but he has not been a regular in the past. Usually they are very acceptable of newbies, but I don't know what they did with their manners lately. Sorry you have had such a bad experience here.

Jerry, I suggest very strongly you read Geoffrey's book and read what he says about YOU.

In one incident he uses a quote you made about me in the thread. You are calling me names and calling me ignorant and yet, your post was so full of il
lliteracy it was a mockery.

Also in the book he points out a lot of the "stupid" things you do and say. He presents you as others see you and not as you see yourself. No wonder your daughter turned to drug - you reap what you sow, Jerry.

If you can't understand Geoffrey's presentation of you in his book then let one of your children explain it to you. Your time would be better spent going back to school and learning to read and write and spell. If one is going to call another ignorant, you need to learn to spell it.

skydivers use dropzone.com for a learning tool. we share advice and try and keep it positive. agree to disagree maybe. i like the db cooper forum and we all can learn new things. the name calling and bashing is usually deleted before you can read it. just not what this site is about. i am surprised that the moderators let it go this far.
i would like to see everyone sharing facts, new, old, ridiculous, or even just crazy. you can politely call a cop an asshole, to his face. i myself have left the "retard" comment. some of the comments i have seen on here are personal and malicious. this is not how this site is normally used. IT IS A TOOL FOR LEARNING.

Does anyone have a copy they have read that they would like to sell or let me borrow? I will gladly return the book in the exact condition from which I received. any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Bruce Im going to post again about this. I will
explain more if you like. I am concerned this
happened and I dont know how this happened.
All I do know is Geof surfaced more than a year
ago (called Tom or something) talking about "two
types of silver" attributed to me, and I never could
figure out how he got that, or what I said to convey
that impression. When it surfaced I issued an
immediate advisory to Geof and Tom, so I have no
idea how this got into publication all these months
later. I thought it was a fluke and dead issue.

If you or anyone has any questions about this I
will try and answer.

Let me just leave it at that and see if this surfaces again.

But, the only form of silver I know about, found in
the three bills Tom tested, is silver nitrate AgNO3,
which was a byproduct of the finger printing the
FBI did on those bills.

arfuller, I have moved into the 21st century and have been the victim of identity fraud not once but twice! I have since gone green. Green as in cash. The amount of trouble my wife and I had to go through was incredible.

Go to a local bookstore or big box store. ex: Barnes and Nobles, Target, Walmart,....order it if it is not available on their shelves. Pay for it with cash have them order it and ship it to the store for pick up or pay a couple extra bucks to ship to your home.
