QuoteYep, Brian Ingram is on the symposium list too.
I'd love to have a Cooper twenty but the really good ones went for over $6500.
When I think of which I'd rather have, a Cooper twenty or 250 jumps, suddenly the twenty looks way overpriced.
Maybe its just a small fragement. One of those sold for $358.50.

Whoa! http://showcase.netins.net/web/nr0x/antennas.htm
Did you see the cover of the current issue of CQ with those guys BASE jumping off that MONSTER 160M beam antennna in Finland (Radio Arcala)? That's not how I'd combine ham radio and skydiving. Damned thing is only 330 feet in the air. No big deal to a BASE jumper I guess...

The case, filed by the ACLU, showed that the FBI withheld documents due to national security concerns but lied to the judge about their omission.
"the government's deception of the court was inexcusable" wrote Carney in his decision ordering the FBI to pay the other side's attorney fees.
Nobody but the ACLU takes on the FBI and wins. They have the courage, the tenacity and the mad legal skills to do it. If you think it is easy proving that the FBI has lied to a federal judge, think again.
We are fortunate to have courageous judges like Cormac Carney who refuse to let vague national security claims trump the law and usurp judicial authority.

QuoteSpeaking of Cooper comics Vicki, I think Bruce needs to investigate that time portal on Shemya Island.

Ahem, 377. Remember, I'll be seeing you Friday in a bar.......
(smile).
edit: BTW, the prominent radar installation on Shemya, "Big Alice" reminds me of the antennae at the Montauk AB in New York. Now that, and the Montauk Project are grist for at least a beer or two. But time portals on Shemya????

QuoteI have to put up with insults around here enmasse, some of them very personal, even though I try to be polite unless someone really pushes on me. I have a right to defend myself, you know. Within limits.
VickiW says in part:Quote' I did not know this was a competition. I thought it was an investigation into finding the identity of the person who hijacked flight 305 on the eve of Thanksgiving 40 years ago.
This makes a lot of sense....The one with the most stories......WINS.
Screw any actual evidence, such as fingerprints or DNA. I want to know...What is the prize? Is it monetary compensation? Fame and fortune?'
After reading your response, I am truly sorry that you took my post personally. However if you re-read my original post you can see that it was a direct reply to Jo and her Freudian slip about "the competition".
Farflung realized it right away. However, if he took it to include you that was his thoughts on the subject, not mine.
Certain statements stand out and they show true feelings and are self-evident. These statements have special indicia of reliability.
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks" ~ William Shakespeare. He sure did have his own theories about human nature and they still stand the test of time.
I also had this observation:
Blevins states:
But in the same post Blevin's contradicts himself:Quotetestimony from Gossett's kids, who stand to gain if their father was proven as the hijacker.
QuoteNot money. Not fame and fortune. Anyone looking for that via Cooper is deluding themselves.
So what is it.....Money, fame, fortune, or delusions? Pick a story and stick with it. I am tired of keeping up with the re-writes.

Yes. They ported Dan Cooper comics from the future and put them in the NWA facility on Shemya.
I'll be glad to buy you a drink Bruce. You've done a lot for this forum.

Taking me out of context Vickie. I always wonder what angle these guys are coming up with. JT, Grey, Dirk, Cook, Bruce and anyone who is writing about Cooper. I do NOT try to counter what they say - nor do I use what the say - but, what if someone came up with a
connection (a solid connection between suspects). Anyone interested in Cooper explores all of the research by anyone doing it. The mistake the FBI may have made was looking at each suspect individually, but I look at it all. I study every suspect until there is nothing left shared with me that fit things I have or have been told.
Example Bruce interviewed a woman whose name might connect back to Weber. First name was Lillian....there was a Lillian in Duane's back ground in WA. I was a little out of it the night I spoke to him and wish he would email me his Lillians exact spelling and I will send my Lillians exact spelling, but I don't know exactly where she lives - but some place I think on the OR/WA line. If he would call me when I have that file in my hand - it might help. I am getting very feeble minded lately and have to have the file in my hands. When he and I talked I couldn't even locate the file and was trying to just remember the spelling.

Cook is a big chicken. Never seen him post here, except occasionally by proxy. You want to meet a guy who pumps the media and cranks out empty promises, ('my book and the solution are coming soon!') that would be him, not me.
And he knows better than to debate me on the Cooper case publicly.
But, to correct your false information, Galen Cook
was once a subscriber and poster at this forum -
long before you.
I knew that long long ago....but, he usually got his 2 cents worth in by proxy - That is who I referred to as the Puppet Master!
One could pretty much tell when he was pulling the strings with posters.
The only Lillian I have spoken to in the DB Cooepr case lived in western Pennsylvania. I wrote a full report about her and posted it here, Jo, circa 2009.
You're always welcome to email me questeions like this. I'm not a big fan of personal exchanges here.

The word COMPETITION is defined at Dictionary.com as follows:
1. the act of competing; rivalry for supremacy, a prize, etc.
2. a contest for some prize, honor, or advantage:
I do not believe I took you out of context. You may have made a mistake and "uttered" it out of context.

Not money. Not fame and fortune. Anyone looking for that via Cooper is deluding themselves. If I were interested in money via Cooper, I would have accepted the $2,500 from Decoded and the $1,000 from Adrenaline Hunter. I said no in an effort to establish credibility. Probably stupid, I know. Looking back at all the crap that goes along with investigating the Cooper case I should have just sold out like others have. And at the time I turned down this money, AB of Seattle was $8,000 in the hole in expenses for everything related to producing the book.
I never took anything other than when they flew me to WA (my flight and hotel) in 2001, but NO one payed my phone bills like JT claimed. Gray bought my dinner when he was here and so did another guy who did a clip (a sandwich). That is all. If someone paid my phone bills they need to produce some receipts - didn't happen.

In the time that Galen left Spokane and headed to Alaska, he first had to care for an ailing father, who passed away a few years back. Now he cares for his aging mom, who needs much of his attention. On top of that he has a law practice to maintain and only Gawd know how he copes with 41 degrees below zero weather.
As for his book, I too, wish he would write it, but the questions and investigations still pour out of the guy, so I see a purposefulness in his delay. It takes time to make fine wine. Gawd, my book is still a long ways off and I'm not ttrying to prove who DB Cooper is! Just look at how vast Chapter 26 is - the Cooper Vortex, whew.
As for his professional investigatory skills, Galen is top-notch in my estimation. His knowledge of the case is deep and comprehensive. His ability to get substantive interviews and detailed information is unparalleled in my Cooper experience. I know of no one here who can match him for overall knoweldge of the case and access to people, places and LE sources.
Yes, Snow is mighty, and incomparable in terms of data mining. As Snow has written, "You have to remember Bruce, I read the whole Internet every night." That is a singular attribute and no one tops the Snowmman for raw information.
So, Galen's postion is singular, and this is not a compettiion to rate who is the best Cooper sleuth. It's that I don't care for a good man being trashed, particularly when he is not here to defend or explain himself.

Vickie I don't need to argue with anyone - I am too tired for that. I often say things out of context, but cause I am not one to play with words or to think them out - I just say it. If you ever met me you would understand - I am just an OLD farm girl from KY.
P.S. Each of these guys is tooting their suspect as Cooper and I consider that a competition.
I am not competing - just trying to tell what I remember and learn what I can about Duane's past. Sorry I am not as literate as some of the others in the thread...and my pain level is getting pretty BAD. Bad enough i can only be here for a little while and come back and try to read the posts and make replies.

We spar about Duane but it never gets nasty or derogatory.
I am truly sorry you are in such pain and hope that your condition improves soon.
Too bad you can't come to Portland.

Who is arguing? I am not.
What I am doing is actively listening and dissecting the information and the innuendos. It has never been an argument on this side of the monitor.
