QuoteBTW, the quiet and lovely raspberymoon has jumped from a 727 and is also a former flight attendant. How's THAT for a Cooper combo? But like Musika, raz preferred to dwell in the shadows at the symposium while we loudmouths pontificated with self annointed expertise and authority.
It sure was fun, thanks again Geoff, well done.

Hey 377, Raz. here, was wondering if ya really liked my company or if you just want my shirt? !!
Please tell your lovely better-half I truly enjoyed our brief conversation Sat. evening. Hope we can all get together again soon on home turf.

QuoteIts doubtful that Annie will fly again. Too many problems. I have N143D, the Herpa DC-3. I jumped southern cross years ago at Muskogee, it is now owned by a friend Jim Terry. Jim invited me to fly it for him for one of his first airshows a few years ago as a prototype heritage flight beta test. See video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nBEGGxRyZM You guys are on the right track. In order to sort out the cooper case, you have to think like a skydiver. Something the FBI never could do. If youre going to jump a round at night, whats priority number one? (other than a gear check)
I think the "spot" is the most important...I could name off my other priorities...like a knife...a light to "check canopy"...that's what the knife is for...a bit of in air rigging if required.
I hope the Universe gives you some relief from the day to day shit...I know I'm in the middle of a life direction change myself...sorry to here about your wife...
I have an open mind about the Cooper Caper and will consider any and all suspects...but they have to pass the logic test.

This thread has the terminal habit of telling a person how to build a watch when asked what time it is. Everything is ponderously and poorly anticipated in a thinly veiled attempt at steering whoever or whatever towards a pre-selected conclusion.
Now there are Special Black Ops jumping off aft stairs in Viet Nam even though there is no information to back this up. There is simply a klaxon call that this has been discussed already and is protected territory not to be inseminated with further discourse.
Not sure which Page 4 was being quoted (PDF file or document reference) but there was the phrase ‘negotiable currency’ sans the American and on the PDF page 4 it says “$200,000” and the parachutes are “2 chest pack”. Here’s a refinement for page 9 (5 PDF), the T/C section is questioned as First Class where that is the old parlance for the cheap seats in “Tourist Class”.
How about some behaviors that actually reflect a search for the truth with some source references and minimal interpretation with the answer? Speculation is fine when it is presented as speculation. The same way bologna is fine for a sandwich as long as it is not called ‘Miracle Meat’ with certain magical powers. After years of eating the stuff I can say that it didn’t grow an inch, so that makes the Miracle Meat company look stupid.

QuoteI think the "spot" is the most important... Me too! I remember being on some loads that I never boarded just because I knew who was spotting. Youre well on your way to solving this case. The spot is everything. Dan
Oh yeah, been there on a DC 3 jump with SkyGod spotting. Landed in a frigging K Mart parking lot. Yeah, it was cloudy. SkyGod was hunnnert puhcent shua that he recognized a DZ landmark through the murk. Had to hitch hike back to the DZ.
So Dan, if you are Cooper and have only given a destination to the crew not a flight path, how do you spot? Not a sarcastic question. I am not a pilot, just a jumper.

QuoteYou got to go back and read the note that he gave to the crew. He gave them a path, and an incentive to them honest. To unravel this mystery you got to be an old school pilot and an old school jumper. The solution is right in front of your nose.
Not being a pilot, it is eluding me. Did the altitude cap (no higher than 10,000 ft) and the destination dictate a particular route?
NICE DC 3! I've seen a few photos of your plane in magzines, Air Classics and Propliner I think.
If you have time PM me with some details about Annie's ailments. The Carvair fanatics are really hoping that she can find a new life in AK as a freight dog, maybe with Brooks. There are only two Carvairs left in the world, Annie and one in South Africa.

I wonder if Marla could have brokered a deal with Q to relent on Snowmman's permaban? Think so?
Hell, I bet Marla could have got Bob Knoss and Jamie Cooper reinstated with high honors.

QuoteJo I told Shelly, after class Clown posted you would post shortly with more BS. Jo You have nothing to contribute to this case but more lies and BS Stories. Unfortunately, you did not make it to the Symposium. I realy wish you had of. I had the tapes with me. Duane was not Cooper, and you of all people Know it.You have cost this investigation to much time and money already. You have hurt people for know reason. So please stop posting your fiction and lies.Jerry
You Jerry Know VERY WELL those conversations were a result of information YOU provided - information with deliberate deception.. After I went to WA. in 2001 and learned of YOUR deception - I ceased contact with you except to call you and tell you I knew you had lied. Did you RECORD that conversation?
WHY do you not talk about the MT - I told you about? The location you CLAIMED was now a shopping center. Well, it is still there and is is NOT a shopping center and you know it. Don't deny it - you did it right in this thread.
Have a NICE life Jerry.
Remember Duane's words before he died. The one's I wrote down because I had been writing some notes when he said this:
His LAST WORDS
Take the Baby down Stairs,
Bring the Baby Back Up the stairs
I can't go till the Baby gets here.
A pause and then he says:
I love you! .....these were Weber's last words and now I understand what he was saying.
Georger you will have to pull the words for the thread - I am unable to do that. Please do this for me. I NEVER read the transcipts before only what has been repeated here on this thread. I told the FBI about these words in the very very beginning.

I cannot find evidence that the 727 was used for dropping people in Viet Nam, just rumors, but it sure was used for that in Thailand, we've seen the videos. Those were test jumps, not operational jumps.
I welcome Dan to the forum. He is an old school jumper and an airline pilot, really good credentials for this quest.

Now how can I answer that without getting in deep trouble?

Funny, she told me the exact same thing Raz, so we will have to do it. Keep us posted on your whereabouts so we can make a plan.
If you find some Cooper twenties out there while combing the LZ with Hangdiver let me know before you flood the market.
I have a big stake in keeping them rare.
Did you know that spellcheck substitutes hangover for hangdiver? I almost goofed up big time but caught it.

It is indeed touching that those three words were his last Jo.
But about the baby and the stairs, that could mean a zillion symbolic or even mentally confused things other than a link to the skyjacking.
What does it mean to you? How do you know what it meant to him? Arent you just speculating?

Sailshaw has read Sheridan's novel and I'd be interested in seeing what he says about it. I saw all sorts of parallels to Norjack, but I see clouds in coffee too.
Sheridan is a nearly perfect DBC as far as qualifications go.
Marine
Smoke Jumper
Boeing employee in tech documents
Expert skydiver
Night jumps
Jumped in Viet Nam, (as a civilian)
Grudge (against the govt over Viet Nam atrocities)
He lived with Sailshaw for a brief period. Sailshaw was a Boeing engineeer working on the 737 stairs (Alaska Airlines ordered some, side not ventral). According to Sailshaw Sheridan pumped him for info on the 727 stairs, but Sailshaw didnt have any 727 info. After that, Peterson got a job at Boeing in technical documents.
The FBI was quite interested in Peterson, meeting with him twice, but ruled him out after a DNA sample was taken.
