Quote377, Amazon. Your both correct. I'll also be talking to Ralph again today as a side note he is feeling much better. I will discuss the money packets with him again today before I post in reference to it. I do remember that the packets were paper banded and also ruber banded. .
each band a different color. Red. Blue. Green. White.
Manilla. Vanilla. Poipul and Ehple.
As long as we're making stuff up lets say: titanium bands.
Jerry: Call Ingram and get this straight. Brian has had extensive conversations with Carr about this -
Carr has had extensive conversations about this.
Or, you showmen can just read the thread.
Happy Hollywood.

QuoteThe four individuals who had interaction with Cooper all described him in his mid 40's to 50's. I can find no reason to rule out their descriptions or deminish them. They all had independent encounters and no one really had time to get a story together or influence one anothers memory, so I would say we are stuck (depending on your view point) with what they told us.
It is my understanding the money was wraped in rubber bands, no paper bands. the money was put together in different bill counts so it looked as if it was put together in a hurry.
From CKret's past post...see above.

\The Fazio's also remembeed the money shards at the high water line and relayed this to Larry Carr and me in 2009. .
Strange. Fazios told Bruce and others - no money shards, anywhere.
Ive got an idea. How about sodium Thiopental
for everyone. Im not saying anyone is lying. I
would never-ever say that. Im just saying yawl
arent recalling your stories right. You arent dedicated!

Several years back Carr called one of the bank
guys up (again) and suddenly got a new story -
this caused Carr to call Brian who called his mother
etc etc etc etc - because Brian doesnt remember
squat - this is all coming from his mother - net
result was: no evidence of papers bands on any of
the bundles ever. The money was pulled from a
separate stack which had no paper bands - just
quick applied rubber bands ... made by that
company Kaye likes to quote. (melt transition for
those bands is ~69 degrees Farenheit. Keep that in
mind).
eh? me croyez-vous ?
Hey guys! The Symposium is over. You can drop all
the social media pretenses! Take a deep breath for

QuoteGeoger Quote from Ralph The money was paper banded and held together with rubber bands. He also states when it comes to the investigation he was there I don't recall anyone posting on this forum that was there were you. Both Fazio Brothers stated the money was washed up on Tina's Bar that week and was not buried there. Jerry
soh?
we have been down this road before 10 million
times.
H wasnt at the bank was he!?
He never saw the money firsthand, did he.
The list of what H did not personally witness but
seems to be some expert on goes on and on and
on. H doesnt own this case and he never did!
H didnt unwrap the found bundles at the Ingrams
apartment, did he?
The officials and mother of Ingram we talked to
were there in person. Brian's mother is a very
observant lady with a very solid memory. H wasnt
there with the Ingrams in their apartment.
Where is a paper band in the found money to
have the paper band artifact auctioned off?
None exist is the answer.
As to the Fazios, even H says frags at 3 feet, buried.
A dozen others agents say buried frags. Still others
say and even document frags buried under Palmer's
top "active working layer" about the size of a quarter.
That layer is how deep - you tell us? I know. Tom
knows.
If the Faxio were kjeeping daily watch on ther beach
why didnt they (or others) beat the Ingrams to the
find? The Faxio werent keeping daily watch on their
beach with each tide, is the answer ad that is a fact.
The Faxzio's report is "incomplete" which is more
believable and fits the bell curve of normalcy..
witnesses cant convey more than they know!
And nobody ever asked them to know! Why all the
quilt on their parts you imply? Did they plant the
money? Did one of them find Cooper that night?
Lastly, if H and the Fazio know the facts of this
matter so well why cant they tell us how the money
got to Tina Bar? They say it came up with a tide
suddenly. Explain to us the mechanics of how that
can happen there in January of that year?
These are only a few of the questions to be ansered.
The list is long but concise and specific.
Lets wait for further answers people think they have
and stop preaching the empty vessel of obedience
to some script you have never published for the
world to even know and abide by! You are too
personally invested in this whole matter, is what I
think. I have communicated that to you since
meeting you.

If you stuck to facts and read the thread and
stopped grandstanding, it would e helpful.

Now that's a better way to have a dialogue.
Better to argue facts than to just call Jo a liar.

Amen to that.
....I think a cordial debate would be even better, however JT would rather badger and harrass Jo than try and be a MAN about it...................your FBI tactics are stale............JT, you're still just a media whore in my opinion...................

Regarding the money: The serial numbers for the ransom money were recorded on microfilm by the Seattle-First National Bank.
Regarding the controversy over the main chutes: According to the FBI transcripts, the main chutes belonged to Norman Hayden, of Hayden Manufacturing Company, Renton Washington. Earl J. Cossey merely packed and furnished the chutes to Hayden on or about May 21, 1971 when Hayden purchased a new airplane and needed two chutes. Cossey was interviewed and supplied minute details regarding the chutes. On November 29, 1971, Cossey "described the missing back chute as having a sage green nylon container, model NB6 (Navy Back pack 6) with sage green nylon harness, which harness has no "D" rings to mount a chest pack." The two chest chutes were obtained from Mr. Lynn Emerick of Seattle Sky Sports, Issaquah, Washington. The inspection card for the chest chute opened on the plane showed that the parachute had been inspected and repacked on September 16, 1971 by rigger Cossey.

That detonation scared me. I saw a bright flash, heard a deafening boom and something big comes flying out of the bar area. Hangdiver was my wingman and didnt blink an eye. Neither did Raz. I tried to act all composed and non chalant, but jumpmasters can smell fear a mile away.

You think THIS is dysfunctional? You should have heard Marla Cooper talk about her family, seriously.
How about an enraged alcoholic relative sweeping all the Thanksgiving food off the table and screaming at everyone to eat it off the floor? That was just an example, much more was experienced by her.
I really think Marla has come a long way to have emerged from all that with a positive attitude and a cheerful demeanor.
She made us all feel like a very normal family. Actually the vibe at the event was really warm, Internet foes became Symposium friends.
Thanks Geoff.

QuoteThe procedure or source of the money was never of interest to me since it didnt help solve the crime, but the guy that told me this had some kind of connection with the bank at the time and he related this is how it was done.
If you do NOT know the facts of the case - how can you solve the crime?
Your post was riddled with
"I wouldnt think"
"I would think"
"I dont think"
"I dont think" 2 x's on this
QuoteIf the account I related is not accurate, then does anybody know any bank employees from the day that could tell the real story on what went on behind the scenes to get this package ready?
Do your own research! It is mostly right here in this thread and other threads and in old newspapers and magazine article.
How could you possible have SOLVED the crime if you do NOT know the details of the crime?
Sorry Dangerous Dan - you have NOT done the research. Every time there is a News article or magazine article and especially on Anniversaries - someone pops up claiming to know who Cooper was just to ride the WAVE. They get shot down pretty quickly when they ignore the facts of the crime or do not do the research.
How many yrs have you been doing "research" or are you just building on an idea you have about how the crime was done and who did it. If you have SOLVED it then prove it! Maybe you are one of Marla's guys!
Well, you seem to be talking the walk - so go ahead. You might want to hit on Marla while you are at it.
QuoteJo you never mention a mountain all you stated was that you were on the Oregon side and didn't cross the river untill you got to the I5 bridge. then you drove up I 5 towards Seattle as you an Duane crossed the Cowltz river you said Duane pointed and said that is where Cooper hid the Money. That part you probanly to from Max Gunthers Book. Jerry
JT YOU know that is NOT true.
The MT I spoke of not too far from the water and the 3 fishing cabins (one of which the foundations was left). Almost missing his turn on I- 14 because of the changes.
You are the ONE who insisted I was on the OR side and you KNOW that is not true...YOU are the one who insisted Duane turned me around and WE were back on the Columbia. I said NOT and you know it. Just how or why did you not get my Mountain?
I was specific about this MT not too far from where the 3 cabins had been on the water...turns out that was Lake LaCames.
I described that MT in detail and what was on top of it. The wire fence and the gate and the dead tall trees and the large boulders - like an old homestead,...weird feeling like a cemetary with the boulders as grave markers. Everyone else in WA knew where this was and you didn't?
Above Lake Lacames is another camp and I describe that one to you - it was right after we left the water and crossed a small tributary (this is the tributary where Duane made his statement). I talked about the Mansion and the caretaker. What is wrong with your mind?
