Well, it is not another epic post of BS like that recent one. I am not responsible for the sugarplums that may dance in your heads from mixing alcohol and Cooperdom. It is a meeting of The Liar's Club here, and I walked into this bar a Pepsi drinker, looking for the washroom. I didn't wish to be the guest speaker, or to draw you a map to the loot. My boots don't fit, my feet hurt, and there is no TP in the can. I can't bum you a cigarette, I don't smoke. What I can tell you is I am not a member of this club, I just wanted to use the facility to unload.

Cool...thanks for stopping by, just drop a dime in the jukebox and hit the exit before the song starts...it's really more dramatic that way!

Pump station lights are much, much brighter. And on the true flight path. And a point of triangulation for the drop.

The Cooper chute was attached with a series of gramma knots in parachute chord.. Easily identifiable. I DO know who owned that chute, but I never saw that particular one. It was not used in practice. And THAT"S the twooth!

Wrong. Suspension lines are not tied with a none secured "slipping" knot, aka "Granny Knot". Come on, when you google it, read it.

As to the post stating the amboy chute to be a camo pattern I think it is white, with white suspension lines, stained dark earth after being buried.

We used all white set ups for testing. Once we had things worked out and started to train other we would use the solid OD Green. This is the technique we have used since the 1940's give or take, yes, there are exceptions.

Well, first...I would call the door question more common sense than anything else. The idea of trying to use the hijacker's own words and requests to figure out his intentions is nothing new. It's SOP in any crime investigation. It's kind of like that scene from Silence of the Lambs, the one where Dr. Lecter ask Jamie Foster (as FBI agent), 'What is it's nature?'.

hijacker's (Cooper's) own words?

Cooper's requests?

What do you know the rest of us dont know!?

Cooper requested a bourbon. Does that mean to you
he was JACK DANIELS and intended to bail near a
brewery or a bar?

The rest of your comments fall in the catagory:

no data available.

I think "your" data is incomplete/invented. (please
refer to standard dictionary for meaning)

What YOU call "common sense" has proved to be
totally spurious, wrong, and just plain nutty. You are
a totally unreliable data server. That much, you
have managed to prove -

Once again, your Janet reference to Galen Cook is
totally-factually wrong, but you keep stating and
restating these wrong attributions, like some mantra.

Get off the grift - Blevins. Find another hobby.

Perhaps "camo" was a poor choice of words here. It appears to me that the chute is a tannish color and consistent throughout. By that I mean it looks like the color came from being dyed. If the color came from being buried in the ground, I think it would not be consisent throughout and there would be whiter and/or darker areas showing in the canopy.

The Liar's Club, nobody is lying on this side? cross examining is not lying.

I walked into this bar a Pepsi drinker......don't say that out loud in a biker bar!

I didn't wish to be the guest speaker......You may be excused!

I am not a member of this club......This is not a club, it's a form where evidence can be presented or discussed (enter some at anytime)

My boots don't fit, my feet hurt......Get new boots!

I just wanted to use the facility to unload.....You have unloaded enough, your "pipeline" has bursted! B|

Possibly, but I think since it appears in the picture that the liens and canopy fabric are all the same shade, that it is stained from long term exposure to the dirt's pigments.

FYI: Interesting note. In 1968 Duane weber said he drank an occasional Brandy and did not like the hard stuff. He liked the fruity flavor. Bar whiskey was a part of his "Dan Cooper" persona.

You mean 'burst'. No, we haven't even gotten by the 4 year sentence yet. I've still got hundreds of pages to go, and we haven't reached the last number in Pi. 3.1412 don't cut it.

You're kidding, right? I gave you the link to the entire story in the Utah Standard Examiner. Says right in the article that GALEN COOK heard about Janet from Tosaw's files. Did you even bother to read the article? So what part exactly did I get wrong?

Yea, Im kidding.

Thanks for the link.

I didnt k'no.

Old Lady Knowledge:
When I was a girl on a farm in the 40's and 50's my mother used to dye sheets and other items. From what I remember of these dyed items - I believe that Robert99 is probably correct in stating the item was dyed.

I do NOT feel like trying to find an old photo of the chute, but did the cords not also appear to have this dusty pinkish/tan color or where they white? I agree that something that has been in the ground would discolor in streaks and other odd patterns.

Just OLD WOMAN questions. I know nothing about chutes and how one would dye one. Just curious about the color of the cords. I don't try to down load the U-tube stuff - only have dial-up.

You NEVER knew Duane Weber and if did YOU would KNOW what you said is just a bunch of CRAP.
He detested fruity drinks!

It is also obvious from Amazon's video that the chute is dirty. But I still don't think the canopy and shroud lines were completely white to begin with.

Blevins, I have an investigative proposal for you.

You have mentioned the Tena Bar money a number of times and suggested that the money found there was the same money Cooper offered to the flight attendants.

As I understand it, the money given to Cooper was from a selected and previously photogaphed fund that the bank in question had specifically created for just such things as hijackings, ransoms, etc.

Some sources have stated that the FBI microfilmed the money as they prepared it to go the the airport.

Tosaw's book has an FBI list of the serial numbers of the ransom bills in non-sequential order so it appears that the list was made of bills that were rather rapidly collected for the ransom.

I understand that more than $5000 in bills was found at Tena Bar but, if this is true, I have no idea how many of these 250+ bills had an identifiable serial number.

Assuming that the serial numbers of a reasonable number of the Tena Bar bills are known, and assuming that the bills were put in bundles in essentially the same order that the serial numbers appear in the FBI list, then perhaps Blevins could take the Tena Bar serial numbers and check them off against the FBI list.

If the above assumptions are correct, then the Tena Bar bills should appear in groups in the FBI list. And that would give some evidence as to how the ransom bills were assembled. What would this prove? Nothing that I can think.

Blevins, if you would be willing to undertake this task, it would get KC off your mind for a day or two. And it might even get Georger off your back for the same amount of time.

Do you accept the task?

'Non-natural means' -- what the heck does that mean? A whole lot of not much. The bills arriving at Tena's Bar a substantial amount of time before they were discovered does not necessarily cause the bills to become pitted, frayed, and oval in appearance. How can bills get so frayed just sitting there? Brian Ingram and I sat and studied the bill he auctioned at the symposium (what a prize, 377!). All that wear and tear on that bill -- could that have occurred just from just sitting on a beach? For me, not likely. The bill looked like it had done some serious rolling and tumbling on the bottom of a river, for an extended period of time.
The hijacker burying the bills at Tena's Bar shortly after the hijacking, in my opinion, could not have caused the bills to become so pitted and frayed.
Is it possible the bills stayed together all along, in the bank bag, and tumbled on the bottom of the river for miles, then by some unnatural occurrences (like a dredging, a propeller, and/or a flood), got ripped from the money bag, at the last minute, and dumped on the beach, at Tena's Bar? The money not fanning or bleeding, with the rubber band still intact, could possibly mean the bills never really did separate from one another -- for most of the time. Getting at the truth of what really happened at Tena's Bar is such a major piece of this case. It may very well be the key to solving the case. I agree with 377, it's so hard coming up with an explanation of what really happened at Tena's Bar. DB, if you're still out there, throw us a bone.

Robert,

We already looked into this. The bills in each bundle had random numbers so they would not look marked. The numbers were recorded before hand on microfilm. The published list is not in the original order but was reorganized into sequential numbers making it easier to look up a number. Carol A. searched in vain for the original list but not even the FBI has it. There is no way to tell if the bills found on Tena were from the same original bundles or not.

I'm actually the Happiest Guy on the Planet right now. We're releasing Katie Onus' book next week. She's the 14-year-old author of the novel Island of the Wolves, which I had the supreme pleasure of editing, and creating a cover for personally. You couldn't piss me off this week if you tried. Come on, you didn't really believe Cooper was my entire life, did you? No.

I'm not tracing numbers on the Cooper Loot, or doing this or that. Frankly, I just don't care.

His conclusion that the money arrived at Tena Bar by 'non-natural means' could say that Kaye doesn't think the money floated down or was dredged there.

That's my take on it, anyway.

Hello...is there anybody IN there...the guy has a website. He answers polite questions. Ever thought about just going to the source? :)

Thanks for posting and sending us back to regular
schedule again ... we have come to rely on you!
You are as reliable as Engine No. 99.

Train coming through! Good night, Irene.

"Some sources have stated that the FBI microfilmed the money as they prepared it to go the the airport."

No, there was no time. A Northwest official whose name I can find if my life depends on it, ran all of the bills through a copy machine. The FBI may have microfilmed the photocopies afterwards, but lets be accurate here. The FBI couldn't do ANYTHING quickly in the day.

"There is no way to tell if the bills found on Tena were from the same original bundles or not. Tom"

The bills were hurriedly rebundled by NW people as they were photocopied and it is more than safe to assume Duane didn't rebundle them again.

The bills in the photocopies would be grouped in the stacks. Sorry, Tom, your information is totally incorrect. You can't GUESS at facts. If you want the truth, come to THE source. Ha-ha-ha!
