It is like rolling dice...you never know how they will fall. A movie presenting ALL of the subjects would be very boring and will not happen plus the legal aspects of potential law suits.

Most young folks have NO idea who D.B. Cooper was or anything about this old crime....perhaps this will make them aware. Should be a WAKE-up call for the FBI.
Until I went public there was little in the papers about Cooper in the major magazines and the East Coast. It was a N.W. thing.
All this kind of movie will do is bring attention to a major screw up by the authorities and/or point out how inadequate the system is and encourage young people to mimic this old crime in new ways.
Making a Crime of this nature a comedy is a CRIME in itself!
With all of the current crime and how our government operates and how the justice system works - WHO cares if they make a comedy out of a major unsolved crime?

I'll concede the point. Was Gossett the fat guy with the hairy arms who was on Army active duty the night of the hijacking? Or was that Ken Christianson hiding out in a trailer that night with Barb Dayton (was that before or after the reassignment surgery?) somewhere on the west side of the Cascades? I can't keep the "most favored" suspects straight.

Personally, I don't remember ever seeing a single post from Cook on this thread unless he has done so through a ringer.
Gossett has reportedly been checked out by the FBI and was in Nepal at the time of the hijacking. Gossett has reportedly had a very eventful life but no one has come up with a single thing to suggest that he is D. B. Cooper.
The principal advocate for Gossett as Cooper apparently is a Seattle area resident that claims Gossett stiffed his family out of ten bucks or so back in the 1950/1960 era when he didn't pay the monthly rent for a basement room that he was renting from them.
To summarize, anyone who advances a name on this thread claiming that person is Cooper is full of it. That includes our dearly beloved Jo Weber, who may or may not know what she is talking about, Bob Knoss, who definitely does NOT know what he is talking about, and lesser luminaries.
Finally, there is no evidence whatsoever to even suggest that Cooper survived the parachute jump. In all probability, Cooper was on the ground and dead within 60 seconds of leaving the airliner.

Jo, You need to do some reading yourself starting with Bloodmark's post at the top of this one. He/She only mentioned the names Cook and Gossett.
Bloodmark's only questons were about Gossett. And Gossett apparently wasn't the fellow in Nepal. But Gossett does not physically resemble the hijacker.
And you have real gall to sit there on your fat/skinny/whatever rear end and accuse other people of trying to force their opinions on others on this thread. Do you have any opinions of your own? How would you rate your opinions with those of Bob Knoss?

First it was Sheridan Peterson that lived in our basement apartment for one month and ten years before the skyjacking. When he left he was unable to pay the rent of $35 and was not in our rent record book. So, when the FBI came to our house to ask about Sheridan, my wife looked in the rent record book and found nothing but the agent ask that when I got home from work at Boeing, that I might remember Sheridan. When I got home I got on the phone to the FBI agent and told him that Sheridan had been at my place for a month and that I know he fits the description of DB quite well and sure looks like the sketch. The FBI admitted that Sheridan was a suspect. He had three years with the USFS (Forest Service) and was an experienced sports jumper too. Later we found out that he got a job at Boeing in the Manuals and Handbooks group with access to how the aft airstairs worked, started the Boeing Skydiving Club and used Issaquah Sky Sports as their dropzone where Sheridan got his Instructors Certification. When at our place, he was just starting to work at the Worlds Fair as the Bubbleator operator and the FBI could trace him from their records.
Sheridan was always saying that with our education (we both had college degrees) we should be able to figure a way to "Beat the System". Those same words would be used in the third letter to the newspapers following the successful DB Cooper jump. I then was certain that Sheridan was Cooper. He gave the FBI the alibi that he was in Nepal writing his book and could not of been doing the skyjacking. Would you not think the guy that planned the caper for at least 10 years would have a perfect alibi? Sheridan had the perfect alibi and the FBI bought it.
However clever Sheridan was at the time, he would not have figured that DNA could be used to catch him. I believe the FBI could close the case very quickly by comparing the DNA on the envelopes/stamps of the letters to the newspapers from DB Cooper, with the DNA they have taken from Sheridan. Two female agents visited Sheridan and took swabs from his mouth for his DNA.
So, it is up to the FBI to do the comparison and they have Sheridan at the scene of the crime and not in Nepal. His lie to the FBI could put him in prison for the rest of his life (he is 86 years old now).

Jo, As I and others have told you before, your story about Duane Weber is a fairy tale. You can't connect Duane in any way to the hijacking.
So you will have to prove your own myth. And proving the validity of myths is very, very difficult. And don't expect any assistance from me.
My congratulations to the FBI for not wasting any more time on Weber or the other Cooper candidates and their patrons.
Perhaps I should also point out to Jo that in the English system of law (which is operative in the USA), the suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. So Jo will have to prove Duane guilty despite the fact that the Feds haven't been able to do so.

So Peterson worked in the Manuals and Handbooks group at Boeing and had access to information as to how the aft 727 stairs worked.
In addition, Peterson planned the "caper" for 10 years and arranged for a perfect alibi to the effect that he was in Nepal on the date of the hijacking.
But in 10 years of planning, Peterson neglected one simple item in his "things to do for the hijacking" list.
If he knew so much about the 727 aft stairs, why did he have to ask one of the flight attendants how to put the stairs down?

If you are referring to the documents I have - I am unable to scan them and put them on line. I have only been able to do that by trial and error (mostly error and it took me hours).
Now, for a QUESTION: Would someone explain to me the purpose and how SECRET SERVICE works - I know it is a "secret", but can someone tell me something about it and/or a site I could find some reliable information on. I know the Secret Service is used to protect the president on trips - but how else are the utilized. What was their assignments in the early and mid 60's?
During my days I knew 2 guys who "claimed" to be Secret service and a third who never told me what he did - but I accidentally saw his badge and ID card.

I would suggest that you take a closer look at the actual meaning of the word "entropy". In reality, it only refers to the energy in the universe that is not available for use. And entropy is constantly increasing due to the simple fact that no physical process is 100 percent efficent. Thus, the energy lost due to inefficiency becomes a part of the entropy.
The end result of all this is that the earth is doomed to die a "heat" death. But the human race will die long before that happens.
On the matter of the transcripts, perhaps you noticed that all communications between Cooper and the cockpit were by notes relayed by Tina or by Tina on the interphone. Only after Cooper sent Tina to the cockpit, did he use the interphone himself.
And Tina had shown him how to operate the stairs before she went forward. But despite that, Cooper needed additional instructions until he was finally able to get the stairs down.
And your allegations are that Cooper was pretending to be ignorant of how the stairs operate so that he could end up about 75 miles or so further down the airway from where he obviously wanted to jump (which was close to Seattle).

Jo, all these years, threads started, and posts, and you still don't know how the reply and quote responses work? I find that hard to believe, i think it a ploy to introduce another "tantalizing tidbit".

Matt it is ALL here - perhaps worded differently but I have TOLD that story - just not in as much detail. Your question gave me the opportunity to clarify the difference between the Ticket Stub and the actual Plane Ticket.
Even the FBI didn't get this - so I hope they read the thread - FAT CHANCE!
