I will tell you a trade secret. This is what I can buy a copy of any of our books for, within a few cents depending on page count: Less than three bucks for singles. Multiples are much cheaper.

Wholesale, anyone hooked up with Ingram can get copies at 55% off the cover price. We might be small, but we try to do things professionally as far as printing and distribution.

It's tough making an 'announcement' when you don't trust half the folks who post this thread. You have to hold back, you have to wait until someone on a 'legitimate' website says something. A site OTHER than AB of Seattle.

Here's the deal: The Auburn Days Festival committee has hooked up with a local bookstore. As it happens, the owner of this bookstore is hooked up with most of the famous NW writers. I can't tell you their names at this time, but trust me...you know a few of them and probably have some of their books.

We decided to let the bookstore owner hop on board the Auburn Days train and give him free rein on Saturday, August 9th to arrange readings and signings for these authors for the entire day. So we're running that program, and then from 6PM to 10PM AB will run two films on the big screen. Everyone is very excited, and I truly wish I could tell you the names of these authors, but I can't.

I can't even tell you the titles on the films, since I haven't decided on that yet. I will tell you this much. It will be SRO all the way and AB will need a bigger budget just to provide the free snacks and drinks all weekend this time. A city-wide book drive is also being sponsored. Mini-libraries are being provided to womens' shelters, nursing homes, local orphanages and the like. And you thought I only cared about DB Cooper...not a chance in hell.

Frankly, do not understand your response. I doubt Duane sexually assaulted in todays terms any one.
He told me little of his prior single life....as a young man...outside of the incident in Jacksonville, when a officer was feeling up his girl friend.

As for a married woman in the 1940's being in a bar ALONE while her husband was overseas - she was in MY OPINION acting like a whore.... Note - I said alone.

In the 40's a woman going to a bar and while her husband was overseas - that was UNACCEPTable....she should have been at home or with family.

A group of women out together 1943 may have been a little ok, but in my book it is wrong...and sending the wrong message. Certainly not the conduct of a good wife in 1943.

Do you tell your circle of friends now that your former husband was DB Cooper - either in a bar or not?

Along those lines, how do you share Duane's criminality socially? Do you tell anyone, or just save it for the Internet and your circle of friends here?

I do NOT go to bars and I lead a quiet life. My two best friends I talk to on the phone and occassionally we do sometimes talk about what is going on in Cooper World. Neither of these friends ever met Duane ---- as I met them after Duane died.

Duane and I were husband and wife and he did not socialize with other couples. We had work associates...

A marriage is built on that partner being your best friend (something you would not understand). You have never been in a stable relationship or you would NOT be ASKING your obtuse questions.

I have other casual friends and do NOT share my private affairs with them. WHY should I? WHY would I?

I seriously doubt an employee in the facility Tina worked at told what you claimed as it is against the law. Perhaps someone should contact the facility regarding your claim...then a job will be available for someone who will respect and needs that position.

Maybe it is time to put the wolf in the cage with the rabbit. Maybe I will be the one who contacts the
facility - after all you made it public information!
