Blevins is having to retract so much now .

How refreshing - retraction when evidence proves one wrong, rather than coming up with conspiracy theories and wild fanciful stories to try make it fit anyway - makes a nice change around here.

Now if we could just get the oval object to pass through the triangular hole?

The kids at Pine Elementary are working on it.

The topologist Dr. Don Jones at the U of Ok says
it is possible. (Logician, David Hausman says 'nope'!)
I wish Bergmann was here! Gus would have this solved in 2 hours... these weighty issues always require upper management to solve.

easy. just make sure the oval is small and the triangle is large. baby O figured this out about a year ago :D

377, that's funny. Have you got some kind of notifier when Cooper items come up on ebay?

BTW Jo: Unless you can prove your previous statement about Christiansen being eliminated as a suspect via the Lyle Christiansen DNA sample, I have to take that claim of yours with a grain of salt.

Below My Statement in its entirety:

"Blevins was ruled out by DNA, but this information is second hand. Supposedly Christainsen's DNA was compared to the supposed Cooper specimen. The source told me the FBI says Christiansen is NOT Cooper.

:(Re-read my statement you will know it came from a second party. I did clarify my statement as I made it. This is what a second party told me who supposedly got his or her information directly from the horses mouth. Remember the FBI also claimes to have excused Weber...so you are not in this boat by yourself.

Not one of you gave me any feed back about another writer who is claiming his "suspect" which the FBI has NEVER discussed to any extent - also is purported to have worked with a specific insurance company. I don't know if this man is playing with my emotions or if he hijacked Duane's past for his own subject.

About 18 months ago he asked me for Duane's SS number and for the John Collins SS number so he could track his employement, but at that time NOT one time mentioned anything about his subject ever working for this same company.

He claimed he had talked to someone with the company and this company had a program in the 50's to 70's for ex-cons. He said this program was never made public knowledge.

If there was such a program for ex-cons I assure you it was probably not selling insurance. When I tried to track others who knew Duane and worked for this same company (I gave them names), I was told it had something to do with the privacy act. Pooey! They are all dead - so what is the big secret?

What were these guys trained for? I believe the program (if it existed) was started in 1960 in Colorado and maybe as early as 1958. This man may just be yanking my chain, but he is a creditable person - with a very long history regarding Cooper and investigations for major TV new articles of the day.

If true does this qualify as a possible conspiracy theory. I had many conversations with this man over the last few months and he has lots of information.

He claimed to have spoke with someone with the company...but did not give me a name. Perhaps he is just feeding off of the things I have told him. Maybe it is all fiction or a figment of his imagination.

Orange Stated:

"How refreshing - retraction when evidence proves one wrong, rather than coming up with conspiracy theories and wild fanciful stories to try make it fit anyway - makes a nice change around here."

Does this man's story sound like a conspiracy theory or wild fanciful story to make something fit. How would you feel if the things I have tried to tell are true? I may not live to see that day, but you will be around some day if the authorities don't succeed in burying the truth forever, because they don't want to tarnish the reputation of one of America's most admired men.
The truth might undo all the good he had done...but is that fair. You do the crime - you do the time and the good you have done will be judged in the hereafter.
Or is it all about the color of this statement?

Jo, what on Earth are you talking about? Norjack was just a crime, not a conspiracy involving the US government. Do you also think the govt planted explosives in the WTC towers to assure their collapse after the hijacked 757s hit them?

When you have to resort to a massive conspiracy theory to explain an event, you are almost always wrong. We should all be shaving regularly with Occam's razor, too many five o'clock shadows around this forum.

Blevins is OK in my book. As Orange pointed out, he is one of the very few here who retracts a claim when it is proven wrong. The KC story is interesting even if he wasn't DBC. I wish Blevins could weave in some intrigue about KC and the atomic tests at Bikini.

Where is Mr. Nuke these days?

The artist who drew Dan Cooper knew a lot about aircraft. His simple depictions of RCAF CF 104 Starfighters are exquisite, that plane must have been a favorite. He also does a beautiful CL 215 amphibian, another Canadian plane. His accuracy on parachute stuff is OK, but not nearly as good as his airplane drawings.

On the "Minos" cover, he draws the old style pinch and pull Capewell riser releases about right, but is missing some structural detail. The deploying canopies look wrong, loose lines and not squiddy enough. He does get the pulled ripcord held in hand correct, but seems not to understand how a sleeve works. The sleeve would be retained (it isnt in the pix) and the lines come all the way out before the canopy is unsleeved.

The artist does a very good Beech 18 on one cover. Far Flung should study it closely ;)

Ignore all threats Sluggo. Keep posting.

Cooper looks chuteless in that mock up for the display. Isn't that just an ordinary back pack on him not a parachute harness and container? Hey, who cares, it is a neat exhibit and keeps the legend alive.

Good to see you back on the forum my friend.

Hey, what happened to Tom and the the Science Team? Weren't they tracking down some tie pollen or something like that?

For what its worth... our pilot from the little DZ I helped get running a few years ago has an Electra... I have not been able to talk him into letting me jump from it or from his Widgeon...[:/]

I did manage to get Jim to let me jump from his Helio Courier... it was like a friggin base jump when I pushed the rear door open and exited since it was flying so freakishly slow.

Here’s a “helpful” link:

HERE

The last time I tried to be “helpful” someone threatened to “Publish-Against-Me!”

Publish against you - What do you mean by that?

I have an interesting question to ask - something only the FBI could answer. Did the FBI put "bait" in the money that Cooper would not be able to resist and if he ever sold it it would be traceable? Was something put into that package besides $20.00 bills? Perhaps Duane stole this item and/or bought it - perhaps it has nothing to do with the crime...but there were 2 such items and he did sell one of them in 1990, but I do not know how much he was paid for it.

Sluggo - please contact me.
I NEED your advise on something I think is STRANGE. Not anything I want to post. Maybe NOTHING to it...but, I need to run it by you.

MY REPLY:

If this man is NOT lieing to me and is just hijacking the story background of Duane and applying it to an old subject - Why? He claimed to have spoke with one of the prior top individuals, not the individual I tried to contact. This man is the one who made the claimes - not me - I am just relating the jest of his conversation.

You would have to see all of this stuff I have that I do not post about - and when I do and ask a question then suddenly I am talking a conspiracy. All I did was relate things that have happened (conversations with a former media person) in the last 3 days - and I get made fun of or admonished about it.

I also need to know what else was in that money package the FBI never told us about. I REALLY need to know this - so if they are following this - I need to talk to them. My enquiry to the agent today only went to the front man - and I didn't tell him what I was calling about. I just asked him a stupid question because I didn't want to tell this to a front desk man nor do I want to tell this to the forum. Might not even be connected, but I need to know.

I did make a post to the B-Blog and sent the guy the official FBI composites. I will note he took down the altered composite, but he never put up the official ones.
I also sent him some pictures of Duane for him to view.

Included the old Rose composite also.

Jo, Sorry if you feel bullied by me, but your wildly speculative posts linking every anomaly in Duane's life to Norjack simply invite frank hardball responses.

It is absurd to think the FBI planted re-sellable traceable "bait" in with the twenties. Any hijacker with half a brain would see the trap. The FBI did plant tracking beacons in some hijacker's chutes, but that makes sense.

If I thought a friend was Cooper and I found an unusual medallion in his belongings would it make sense to think that it was something planted in the loot by the FBI? Of course not.

You HAVE said in numerous posts that Duane was Cooper, then you backtrack and say he was DBC or knew him etc. Put him on the plane with solid evidence, don't assume every odd trinket was some secret "plant" by the FBI. Read about "confirmation bias". Orange called it spot on.

I still think Sheridan Peterson would have made a hell of a Dan Cooper. Does Georger think Pete's cranial facial features rule him out? The FBI sure didn't. They had to use DNA to eliminate him as a suspect.

yeah, once an alien gets your cell number you are basically screwed. They make telemarketers and bill collectors seem benign. Changing phones and numbers might work with old girlfriends, but the aliens are not so easily fooled.

I thought we came to the conclusion
we dont know why (exactly) the FBI processed
Sheridan except for his domestic problems involving
foreign flight and custody issues, and what if any role the Cooper matter played - except that Sheridan says he was wanted for being Cooper. That's his claim.

Last I knew Bruce was going to get the arrest report
but that never surfaced. Maybe I missed it? Sheridan has never been prosecuted as being Cooper, in any event.

He didnt look much like the physical description
and sketches to me, but that's just me.

And the so-called DNA sample with which the FBI supposedly keeps dismissing suspects came from WHOM?

The hijacker?

Or one of the dozens of people who have handled the tie over the last 40 years?

The DNA 'evidence' is worthless. The cells they used to get the partial profile could have belonged to any number of people.

There's that echo again ....

Once upon a time that echo was talking about
Dan Cooper comics on Shemya.

I did not remember if this was ever addressed, but I went thru some things and there were items I ignored - packed away and forgot about them...they were in our joint safety deposit box - he put them there when all the other stuff showed up in 1990, but not in his private box.
I knew there was another item, but figured he sold this one as a cover for the money he wasn't making in the shop or it was in the Wallet the man found in the VAN.

Why was Duane so worried about a lot of false ID in an old beat-up wallet while he was in the hospital? He had removed what ever was in that vault and placed the Magazine in it - before he went to the hospital. My name was not on the vault - and he knew I would not have access to it unless he got it out - but what was it? I think it was proof of what he told me "I'm Dan Cooper" because he got upset with my not understanding what he was trying to tell me.

The futures not ours to see, but also the past is often hidden.

Funny how every single piece of tangible evidence that might prove Duane was DBC is "missing". Could there be another logical conclusion one could draw from this state of affairs, such as Duane lied about being Dan Cooper and had nothing to do with Norjack?

Please Jo, just consider the possibility. You have no evidence that what Duane told you from his hospital bed was true. You just have unsubstantiated hunches, beliefs and yes... hopes.

It pains me to see this obsession consume you, but maybe it is what keeps you going.

Still, I am glad to have you here.

Georger, I think you are confusing the DC7 pilot with Sheridan Peterson. Different people. Sheridan was never arrested by the FBI or anyone else as a Norjack suspect.

One thing about Sheridan that distinguishes him from many others is that everything he posts about his remarkable history checks out. No lies, no exaggeration.

He is a rabid peacenik. I like seeing him take on war mongers on military blogs. He fought in the South Pacific as an underage Marine in WW2. He was a skydiver, smoke jumper, Boeing employee etc. Made night jumps too. All of it checks out. None of it makes him Cooper, but the FBI didn't rule him out until they got a DNA sample. He has a huge grudge against the govt that has it's roots in atrocities he witnessed in Viet Nam as a civilian refugee advisor.

He looks a lot like the FBI sketch too, but I don't put much stock in witness assisted sketches. During my work in criminal law I saw so many sketches that were waaaay off. They'd catch the guy who did the crime and the evidence was overwhelming, and he wouldn't look at all like the sketch.
