I have been waiting for a DVD my friend made for me of the program, but I did get to watch the program while it was on an someones home - we didn't have a way to record it.
You pretty much summed up what my friends and I stated that night when it was over. The husband is military and his remarks were dead on with yours.
It was as if your post was summary of our conversation after the program was over.

Only Cooper could be prosecuted at this late date. The case would be tried in US District Court (fed court) most likely in Seattle.
Unless the prosecution had really solid unambiguous evidence of guilt, Cooper's lawyer could probably get the case dismissed based on the govts failure to preserve evidence (cig butts) that may have been exculpatory.
In civil cases you don't need unanamous jury verdicts to win but criminal cases require that ALL jurors agree or there will be a hung jury and a mistrial. A federal prosecutor might decide against prosecuting Cooper fearing a loss if the case were tried to a jury. Just one juror who saw Cooper as a hero could thwart a conviction. Deciding not to prosecute based on insufficient evidence won't kill a career but losing a trial could.
An acquittal isn't out of the question. The burden of proof is on the prosecution and guilt must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Although crime seems to enhance the credentials of rappers, Jamie is more of a punk rocker. To his credit he doesn't seem to exploit the "I am Boy Cooper, son of a truly legendary criminal" to advance his music career.
I just wish someone would find a hot twenty. We are going in circles with our unsupported speculation.

It appears to me that Vicki's posting style and quiet "laid back" attitude hasn't really prompted much "sleuthing" from those who like to dig.
If she is up for it then I suggest some of guys who really like digging (377 (aka Snowman's proxy), Georger etc turn the spotlight on that lead. My bets are that it is a dead-end street but from past experience when people start digging some really interesting stuff is churned up from old newspaper articles.

That is an impressive list to be sure. The running from the Feds in September, 71 and the familiarity with hundreds of thousands of dollars is an amazing coincidence.
I have no idea if Melvin Wilson was Cooper, but found the exercise of scribing the similarities enlightening. At least there may be some more perspective about others, but I doubt it.

I do hope someone will check out the attic hinge issue. It's not your problem, but it would tell us how much spin Decoded puts on things. It would give us a calibration point.

One good way to do this is to scan the original photos at the highest possible resolution. Then you have enough image information to work with for enlargements without distortion.
NEVER save scanned images in JPEG, or at least ones that are important. Select TIFF, (Tagged Image File Format) PNG, (Portable Network Graphics) or maybe Windows Bitmap for best results. These are generally lossless formats. Every time you save an image in JPEG, it loses some image quality.
Your long 'argh' there is messing with the page, BTW.
Question: Do you have the originals? Trying to expand those JPEG's won't work. The originals must be scanned and saved to your computer first, at the highest possible resolution in a lossless format. I think I said that. (*Robert goes brain dead*)

can be no larger than 300 kb.

I have the book by George Nuttall being sent to me. Wonder if it is worth the money.
I was thinking I talked to or exchanged an email with that man in recent yrs...but didn't know he was writing a book about Cooper.
