rmarshall234 13 #26 December 23, 2010 "And I dare say it wasn't just me, there are wholesale generations of us!" ----------------------------------------------------------- You can include me in that group. It was The Art of Freefall Relative Work that hooked me, and then United We Fall reeled me in. The explanations, photos and stories inside, allowed me to keep my head in the clouds through the mundane activities of the week until I could return to the (actual) sky and clouds the following weekend. Those are some of the best memories of my life and I still have the tattered pages of those two books tucked away somewhere. Congratulations Pat, on your longevity in the sport and contributions you've made, and a host of "good decisions" to have allowed you to make it through 50 years! jbrasher 1 #27 December 23, 2010 Congratulations Pat, You were the first person I every talked to in the sport, over the phone, who knows what would have happened if it had been in person :-) Jan was one pf my first J/Ms at Hinkley. I've read all the Skydiving related stuff you've written; eve paid for most of it. The sport has been better because of you, thanks. And keep telling more stories, even if you have to make them up ;-) Red, White and Blue Skies, John T. Brasher D-5166

patworks 5 #32 December 24, 2010 Starting at 17, I made about 70 this year. Skydivers cohabit a special realm where they and clouds kiss the sky enfolded upon her soft arms of wind. Our sky is lovely and bigger than forever.Embrace her. I wouldn’t admit to it but a lot of what he said in the 70’s and 80’s made sense. SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
SkydiveJack 1 #36 January 2, 2011 First of all, congratulations Pat! Second of all, shame on the rest of us. We must be losing it for not calling Pat on this! Look at the subject line of this thread- ….my 1st 50 Years….. as in FIRST 50 years, as in FIRST, as in Case of Beer!!!!! = 24 Of course, in this situation I think it is we who need to buy you a case! Thanks for all you've done Pat!

obelixtim 150 #38 January 2, 2011 Congratulations Pat. Awesome achievement. Appreciated your books very much....started losing my turkey feathers once I had read your wisdom. Back in the student days getting information was a bit like pulling teeth. Your books and a visit to NZ by Al Krueger revolutionised RW back in the mid 70's for us Kiwis.... Thanks, and good luck for the next 50......My computer beat me at chess, It was no match for me at kickboxing....
