SCR216 2 #6 July 7, 2011 Well Jim, in my book the DZ is not always the same as the LZ. So for some jumps I put down two places for one jump. I worked in and out of Liechtenstein for 15 years back in the 80s and 90s. I had no idea there were over 27 DZs in Switzerland. Damn, I sure lost out on that one. That part of the world has a lot of great things to offer. Not a bad view in the entire joint. Great outdoor people, the Swiss. So far I have 32 DZ/LZ's around the world. Will add a few more in September.

I've been jumping for 4 years and have been to 32 dropzones and plan on adding 3 more to the list in the next 2 months :) Hi Dude We actualy met at LP last yr. I was impressed with your party attitude. Not over the top but good enoughI think there were some oldd farts in the US like D-1 Mr Lew S had some kind of a goal to jump in every state or something, and maybe Pat Moorehood (top Pop or SOS and perrisite) and his jump bud had some kind of goal every planet, that don't sound correct, every something. Reminds me of a story about a army jump reunion. 82, 101 whatever airborn units, Young airborn pup (Yute) was proud of his double digits jump number Yute (My counsin vinnie) asks old fart from WW2 how many jumps he had. Single digit's Then the old fart starts naming the LZ's . They were all bad places with real pissed off McNasty's and some nice locals if you could find them. All night jumps etc Landing out could be a bad thing or a good thing depending on local conditions. IMO Those were the real pro's, real jumpers, and members of the greatest generation. My boss keeps on reminding me that size doesn't matter I don't understand why she keeps on reminding me. My boss keeps on reminding me it's the quality of the experience not the quantity I don't understand why she keeps on reminding me. The pros in the second oldest profesion in the world get a large quanity "it". Same with some of the pro's in the industry of skydiving. Come on Twardo, how many notches ya got in your belt? This is the kind of info that I was looking for when I started this thread. Without dragging out logbooks, I'd WAG it at between 450-500 different 'LZs' in 49 states and 9 countries. airtwardo 7 #23 July 9, 2011 Quote Looks like I got some catching up to do. Have 3 countries so far, should definitely have 5 or 6 by the end of the year. What I did was took the total number of demos I've done and claimed 1/3 of that as different locations, since we do multiple jumps at many places. The drop-zones and boogies has to be close to 75, and I know I have well over 100 'bandit' jumps over the years...I could be off by 50 overall, but I'd bet I'm close with my guess. ~One of these days I'll get a jump in New Mexico and have all 50 states! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
BillyVance 34 #24 July 9, 2011 My spreadsheet says 35 DZs, however, the total number of locations is probably closer to 40-45 due to DZs moving or other reasons, not counting demo LZs. Those were lumped in with the DZs they originated from. I only got 13 states though. 30 different types of aircraft as well. Whats interesting on a historical note are the DZs listed that are no longer operating. I have 7 listed so far."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
