ItsThatGuy 0 #1 December 10, 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6wwizIzkmY Pretty neat video of some old barnstormers, and theres a few clips of some parachutists in the middle and towards the end. There was even a plane that went down under canopy!

pchapman 279 #3 December 10, 2013 Best for History & Trivia! The video includes stuff like: - one of the early airplane recovery parachute attempts (something that never took off until decades later) - various barnstorming stunts not involving parachutes - wing walkers wouldn't be wearing them - quite a bit of video of British paratrooper training 'drag off' jumps, deploying from platforms out on the wings of a large Handley Page bomber biplane - some jumps off an aircraft where the jumpers climb down rope ladders (as a stunt I guess), before dropping off and pulling immediately, while unstable

Tink1717 2 #5 December 13, 2013 Every time I see footage like this, it makes me wonder how many of these early barnstormers went in doing this. Funny how we never hear of the fatalities. There had to be some.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. (I never heard of you either!!) Krip 2 #6 December 13, 2013 Hi OP , PC . Great video!!! Keep them coming. The mid air refueling at the beginning of the video, was interesting. The accuracy of the airplane landing under canopy was exciting. R
riggerrob 643 #7 December 20, 2013 That first scene (large biplane re-fuelling a Fokker monoplane) was part of a U.S. Army project to fly non-stop across the USA.
StreetScooby 5 #8 December 26, 2013 Outstanding video. I can only hope the guy grabbing the gas hose in the bottom plane had all of his hand signals worked out with the top plane We are all engines of karma
