I'm wondering if anyone has an answer to this question. I did a front-side certification jump for a guy getting his Eclipse rating yesterday. Holy cow that harness is uncomfortable! I now have a better appreciation for what my students go through. Anyhow, I'm wondering if the harness has to meet a TSO, such that it would be illegal to put a Sigma harness on the front of an Eclipse (or older Vector) rig.

Side note - Obviously this guy I jumped with owes beer for taking his first passenger, but do *I* owe beer for *being* his first passenger??!

The new style student harness can be used with the both the old style Vector Tandem and the Sigma Tandem systems. Using it on other types of systems is up to that manufacturers approval.
