indyz 1 #2 October 23, 2007 God, what a clusterfuck. He watches a tandem have a streamer, then dumps without tracking or even turning 180? Then he flies himself into the cutaway main?
itllclear 1 #4 October 24, 2007 QuoteGod, what a clusterfuck. He watches a tandem have a streamer, then dumps without tracking or even turning 180? Then he flies himself into the cutaway main? Partially correct. It looked like the videographer then had a wrap with the cutaway main, cuts away, and then opens a white reserve which he/she proceeds to fly into the mess. Has this vidiot been referred to the local Suicide Prevention Center? BSBD Harry"Harry, why did you land all the way out there? Nobody else landed out there." "Your statement answered your question." PhreeZone 20 #5 October 24, 2007 He didn't fly the reserve into it, that was a slow motion playback of the video guy flying his main into it again. The Suicide Prevention Center probally is a good idea for this guy. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Squeak 17 #6 October 24, 2007 It looks like the vidiot tried to "catch" the Cutaway mainYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
pilotdave 0 #7 October 24, 2007 Lots of comments about that one (going back to 2005 http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1937, where it was probably stolen from... Dave
tetra316 0 #8 October 24, 2007 Looks like he flew into on purpose(you can see him look at it before the wrap), trying to catch it etc. Dumbass.

speedy 0 #11 October 24, 2007 Quotedumps without tracking This is an interesting thread. Do you think the vidiot realised the TM had a streamer before he pulled? Only last weekend I videoed a similar opening. In my case the TM did not fall past me because the main did open in the end. Tracking after videoing Tandems is a good idea. The problem is that landing on the DZ is also a good idea and both do not always go together. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

If I've got video, checking the spot before exit is his responsibility. Granted, I'll double-check his work while in freefall and try to give him a chance if he fucked up, but ultimately, it's his job to get some separation and to land on the DZ. If I pull at a normal altitude and he doesn't give me room for a mal and/or he doesn't land on the DZ, it's his fault and his opportunity to improve. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" jdfreefly 1 #18 October 26, 2007 I don't like the sound of that. It sounds like you are trading safety for convenience. Even if it is ok with you, and ok with the TM, is it fair to the passenger, who has no idea the risk you are taking with their life? Methane Freefly - got stink?
