Single AFF-I economics

Recommended Posts

I'm just trying to get a rough idea of what consititutes "industry standard" in the US for AFF jumps. I called a big DZ last week and was amazed at their price versus my price. We rarely do two instructor AFF jumps here, so I'm not too worried about that. If you guys could pipe in with what your DZ charges for a single Instructor AFF jump and maybe what the instructor is paid for that jump too, that would be much appreciated.

Do you require students to do tandems before doing a single JM AFF? That would factor into the overall price.

No. I require 5 IAD jumps, 1 clear and pull (under IAD-I supervision), then 4 AFF jumps before they can do solos/coach jumps.

What would like to know? We do that progression as well. We also offer tandem progression and regular AFF.

AFF Level 1 (FJC & Jump) $279.
AFF Level 2-3 (2 Inst.) $239.
AFF Level 4-7 (1 Inst.) $179.

Tandem Progression Level 1-3 $179.
AFF FJC $99.
then on to AFF Level 4-7

IAD Progression (FJC & Jump) $169.
IAD Jumps 2-6 $69
then on to AFF Level 4-7

I'm pretty sure those are our prices...
