JohnMitchell 16 #3 March 14, 2009 Won't change my style of tandem landings. Any debate on if this would be a good idea or not?
diablopilot 2 #4 March 14, 2009 It is not, it was debated at the BOD meeting and found to be unenforceable and unneeded, but rather a focus on stable approaches, and encouraging operators to police their staffs for unsafe behaviors. It would have had no effect on the panic turn into the wind incidents in the last two years, since they were not intentional performance turns to begin with. Probably the best thing to come from the dialog was Bill Booth's comment, quoted in my current sigline.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. billvon 2,989 #7 March 18, 2009 Nope. There is now a requirement in the group member pledge, though, that DZ's provide a way to separate high performance and normal (i.e. 90 degree) patterns.
