INSANEDADDY 0 #1 January 20, 2005 Does anyone have info on this tunnel? My brother was passing by today and called me to tell me about it. I am guessing its the mobile tunnel from Conroe. AggieDave 6 #4 January 20, 2005 Yes. Its the same folks, same tunnel, they moved it (since it is like a lot of the homes in Conroe and is a trailer).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
INSANEDADDY 0 #5 January 20, 2005 Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha ROTFLMAO..... I read some of your post about your experiences in it. I went out to the Vegas Fly Away tunnel two years ago. People warned me about not wasting my money. I should have spent the money at the DZ instead. I was very disappointed. If I ever get into another tunnel, it will be a Skyventure tunnel. Otherwise I will spend money at the DZ. You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. AggieDave 6 #7 January 20, 2005 They're building a L1 tunnel in H-town (same people) which is supposed to be badass. The porta-tunnel isn't bad if they crank the power (or if you're a smaller/much lighter person) and as long as you stay in the middle of the tunnel to keep from sliding down the cone of air.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Levin 0 #8 February 7, 2005 here's some pics from the tunnel saturday. the tunnel has just been upgraded. the max airspeed is now 145mph. on the downside it seems like the air is a little choppier at max speed. but freeflying is definetly doable even for larger people. the tunnel is located at 8 and Cullen near 8 & 288 on the outside feeder road at the new MLK intersection. Easy to find. Skydiver rates are only $5 a minute. But I believe you must buy a minimum 10 minutes to get that price. And you don't have to use all your time at once. Shoon 0 #10 February 7, 2005 Yes, we are the same tunnel that was in Conroe. Hey Levin, 5$ is what we charge Adren-l-n friends, but for everyone else the price is 10$ a minute unless you buy block time. Nice pics, I must have just missed you. Did you see my new chain saw? diablopilot 2 #13 February 13, 2005 How much time on your head in a tunnel did you have when that picture was taken?---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
Levin 0 #14 February 13, 2005 maybe 10 minutes on my head. I've only got about 20 minutes or less total. that's the only tunnel i've been in. i flew in it a couple of times last year for about 5 minutes each time. this was the first time back in since last fall. the picture was taken after about 5 minutes in it of which 1 minute was on my head. my sit fly is marginal and my belly flying is embarresing, but i'm solid on my head. therefore headdown is my safety position which isn't very safe in a tunnel. that's why he's holding on to me with a lite grip. i'm afraid if i flew into the wall i'd fall down and hurt my neck. also afraid when i fell of my head afterwards the air would blow me up towards the top and into the wall. the air in the tunnel is blowing 145mph. no exaggeration. whatever they did to that thing has got it blowing hard. but on the downside the air is choppier when cranked up that high. i'm thinking another 10 - 20 minutes and i'll be able to stay in one place without any assitance. diablopilot 2 #16 February 13, 2005 BE careful. Thing go very wrong in a hurry in the tunnel enviorment.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
Shoon 0 #17 February 17, 2005 HEy, we are going to have a rock wall out there from time to time. The L-1 is going great. Just to let you know. It is Adren-l-N Extreme Fitness Ceter. We have the plans done and construction is about to begin. I am the only one who knows. So come ask me in person,.
heidihagen 0 #18 February 21, 2005 QuoteMatt, try this link http://adrenln.com/ no current location posted but their number is listed clicky and 800-506-rush is their number. hey caseadila, it's a excellent alternative. i can't really compare the two because i only have 45 minutes in a skyventure and i'm still just learning to fly on my belly. you can buy as little as 3 minutes andddddddddd if you buy in blocks... you don't have to use them all that day. they have a really cool staff plus it's not thousands of miles away... that's a big perki'm attaching more pix. i threw in a few extras because mine aren't as exciting as levin's... yet! (just give me another 10-20 hours...) there's a similar thread with additional info/pix located here: http://dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1442873i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
